If you want another big-government politician who supports the status quo to run our country, you should vote for my uncle, Rick Santorum. America is based on a strong belief in individual liberty. My uncle’s interventionist policies, both domestic and foreign, stem from his irrational fear of freedom not working.

It is not the government’s job to dictate to individuals how they must live. The Constitution was designed to protect individual liberty. My Uncle Rick cannot fathom a society in which people cooperate and work with each other freely. When Republicans were spending so much money under President Bush, my uncle was right there along with them as a senator. The reason we have so much debt is not only because of Democrats, but also because of big-spending Republicans like my Uncle Rick.

It is because of this inability of status quo politicians to recognize the importance of our individual liberties that I have been drawn to Ron Paul. Unlike my uncle, he does not believe that the American people are incapable of forming decisions. He believes that an individual is more powerful than any group (a notion our founding fathers also believed in).

Another important reason I support Ron Paul is his position on foreign policy. He is the only candidate willing to bring our troops home, not only from the Middle East, but from around the world.

Ron Paul seems to be the only candidate trying to win the election for a reason other than simply winning the election.

This year, I’ll vote for an honest change in our government. I’ll vote for real hope. I’ll vote for a real leader. This year, I will vote for Ron Paul.

John Garver is a 19-year-old student at the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown. John is a strong supporter of Ron Paul despite his love for family member Rick Santorum.

I would vote for Daffy Duck before I voted for Obama.

Because Daffy Duck would be a better candidate than every one of the complete idiots on the Republican side? Hard to argue with that.

I'm sure that a lot of folks will think me nuts....

I am a registered Republican and I can not vote for Santorum, (or many of the other candidates) because of the hypocrisy. I think that nothing exemplifies this better than the neoconservatives who still argue for cannabis prohibition. I realize that many people would consider this a trivial issue, but I think that it is a very important issue.

If the government is so involved in our lives that it can tell us which plants we can or can not grow on our own private property then it shows the extent in which liberty has been lost to our society. Either we are born free and have the right to make our own decisions for our life, or we are born as slaves to our government.

But why is this so important? What in the world does that have to do with foreign policy? When a nation learns what liberty is truly about, it will bring a change in both foreign and domestic policy. When we become a nation that honors liberty for ourselves, we will also honor the liberty of others. Our foreign and domestic policies are a direct result of imperialism, caused largely by progressive politics in the early 20th century. Domestic imperialism (such as prohibition) has dramatically reduced our liberty at home. We will only be able to stand up for the life and liberty of others when we are able to stand up for the life and liberty of our own citizens.

Why would anyone who is conservative support progressive policies? I would suspect that anyone who identifies him/herself as a conservative and supports prohibition policies is not familiar with history. Prohibition policies come from progressive ideology during the Progressive Era. Originally, conservatives were opposed to these policies because they were (and still are) so far removed from conservative ideology and the constitution. It is progressives that brought prohibition. Unfortunately it is the conservatives that currently argue for these progressive policies.

One of two things must be true, that these candidates (with the exception of Ron Paul) are ignorant of American political history or they are total hypocrites. I do not believe that these men got where they are today without having some form of understanding of the history of American politics, and all have college educations so it seems probable that they are total hypocrites.

I am sick of being lied to by my leaders. I want to live in a free society. We live in such a free society that we lock up more of our citizens than any nation on earth. Land of the free indeed. It is because of this that Ron Paul is the only candidate that I can support.

The International Atomic Agency did NOT "release e report stating Iran was developing a nuclear bomb".
That's just warmongering criminal propaganda.
What it said was: SHOULD Iran acquire such and such materials, they COULD conceivably, perhaps and maybe build a bomb IF they ALSO got the proper devices to assemble them. Maybe.
A complete carbon-copy of the 2004 "Laptop of Death" charge...that was proved to be fraudulent and went nowhere.
In light of such a "report", consider that YOU AND I are "months away from building an atomic bomb"...maybe...IF we get the proper materials and tools, that is.
Don't believe me? Look it up. If you're a patriot, that is.
If not, swallow that corrupt government criminal propaganda for all it's worth, but don't complain when your children are working for free in a one world govt/new world order concentration camp within 5 years.
Terror, terror, terror, everywhere terror! But if you give up your liberty for security, the government will save you! Obey the government!
Baa-aaah, yes, master...

"The International Atomic Agency released a report last month that stated Iran was in fact trying to develop a nuclear weapon."

Factually incorrect. Please check your sources.

He is right. Anyone is better than Obama. 2012 elections can't get here fast enough for me. Our country would be doomed if he gets another term. One term has been detrimental, but we might be able to recover if someone else is elected.
