Good for him for helping someone. Isn’t that what the Democrats are all about. helping the needy? Here is a case where someone more fortunate helped someone less fortunate and because he is a Republican, the Liberals shun it and say he had unseen motives. It’s amazing really, how the Liberal Media spins everything.

What a great story It’s great to hear about someone who is strugling and gets their pray answer, god does answer prays, best story i have heard since the campaigns started it realy touched thanks for sharing. there the scripture that says first seek the kingdom of god then all things will be added to you.

She is a registered Republican. That is interesting to me. The $60 bucks is okay, but she really needs a job (with benefits). It would have been nice if he offered her employment. “Such as I have, give I unto you” and it’s more than the $60 in my wallet. He’s an exceptionally wealthy man who probably could afford to hire her in some capacity. He can’t hire everyone, but she asked for him for help.

This is so fake. So God told her to follow the Mormon ? Where did she get the gas money to drive around all day ? If it were real (and it’s not) why is he such a cheap arse ? 60 bucks ? I bet one of his staffers could have dug deeper than that. This is nothing more than Joe the plumber 2.0.

This wouldn’t make me vote for Romney, but it doesn’t count against him either. He did what Jesus frankly told us to do when we meet people in need, and have the resources to help them. It’s what any decent rich man would do: give them enough to help out in the emergency but not so much as to rob them of their independence.

Those who are criticizing Romney here ought to ask themselves what they would do in his place. The Christians among them ought to also ask how their answer comports with James 2 or Matthew 5. He basically handled it right. And I’m no Romney booster; Ron Paul 2012!

I don’t agree. I think giving without receiving is fine. Giving that lady a few bucks directly was probably much more rewarding for her and Mitt, and having that same amount of money fo through a bureaucracy and diminish into almost nothing for her.
What I don’t agree with is enforcing that with steep tax laws that compel me to give to others every paycheck at such an alarming rate. I already am the sole breadwinner of a family of 6. I chose that. I don’t like having so much of their bread taken to feed a fattened bureaucracy too.
