Sorry, Tapper, not what I would call a hard-hitting interview. Why was this even necessary if they had this legal right before it was put into law? Makes me think that they only wanted it, not had it. WHY did the media and most people ignore this bill before it was signed? This is another fine example of our oligarchy, as most of the constitution has been shredded all in the name of "fear." Those that have the most safety have the fewest freedoms - just ask those in a maximum security prison!

Even more to the point, how could a majority Republican house, and a majority Democrat senate pass THIS LAW that forces the President to either sign it, or leave the military unfunded?

How would an person often described as a "Constitutional Law Scholar" excuse the signing of legislation which contains such obviously unAmerican, unConstitutional possibilities as the indefinite detention of US citizens without charges and without due process?

How can a citizen believe this President when he broke one promise, about signing statements, to explain why he broke a different promise, signing the NDAA?

He is too smart a man to not realize that he's broken some hearts with his poor showing of support for civil liberties and personal freedom in the US.

Thank you Mr. Tapper for asking these critical questions about the current Administration's abdication of its Constitutional duty. I hope you will continue to ask them as we approach the elections this fall.

TAPPER: Well, let me just ask this final question: Are you comfortable with how any president in the future might interpret that law?

CARNEY: Well –

TAPPER: Is the president comfortable?

CARNEY: Again, you’re — that’s a hypothetical about the future."

It's hpothetical that at some point and time we will have another President??? Is Obama going to fire Congress and the Senate and declare himself dictator? Carney has some splainin to do... but I'm sure no one will ask him about his statement.
