President Obama will welcome the Dallas Mavericks to the White House today to honor the team’s 2011 NBA championship title.
“The president will also recognize the Mavericks’ ongoing support to the men and women who serve in our military and their families,” according to the White House.
The president’s noon tribute to the team will follow a private morning meeting with his senior advisers in the Oval Office.
In the evening, the president will attend two campaign events in Washington, delivering remarks at one of them.
