The Presidential Planner - Obama Visits EPA

With all eyes on New Hampshire and the first primary of the 2012 election, President Obama will spend the day in Washington meeting with advisers and paying a visit to the Environmental Protection Agency.

Obama will meet this afternoon with the EPA staff and deliver brief remarks thanking them "for their hard work protecting the air our children breathe and the water we drink," according to the White House. The president will be joined by EPA Administrator Lisa Jackson.

The president and vice president will meet privately later with Defense Secretary Leon Panetta in the Oval Office.
