Funny how you get the nasty comments from simple minded people, I refuse to argue against homophobic people anymore because they are simply dumb human beings who only see sexual orientation in the “supposed” right way. You people will never understand, and if you don’t want to, then go live in a cave, face the facts, people were gay yesterday, are today.. and always will be, get used to it.

This is disgusting and I feel great sadness for the Marine Corps and the fact that this will throw feces on the memories of so many brave Marines that have died in battle to defend our nation. Why is this cr@p getting jammed down everyones throat?

I am a gay man currently serving in Afghanistan. I have been in a relationship with my partner for 20 1/2 years. This is the first time being seperated for any length of time. I do not know how I will react when I return home and see him for the first time. I may embrace and kiss him as well. The situation with the Marine as I understand it, was that it was at a homecoming event on base with loved ones present, not open to the general public. He acted no different than any other person meeting their significant other after a lengthy seperation. I’m sure it was joy that prompted him to act as he did, not any ulterior motive.

i think its funny how people say its wrong and Disgusting. Yet the GLBT community are the ones fighting for your freedom they can stop anytime and where would our country be then? you would be like all the other 3 world country’s these people are hero’s,fathers,mothers, grandparents, sons, daughters that could die any minute making sure our family’s are safe yet you treat them like trash you should be ashamed of yourselves

You people that don’t get it wont get it. For me being gay isnt a choice. And has never been a choice. TRUST ME. IF I COULD BE STRAIGHT I WOULD IN A HEART BEAT. I didnt wake up one day and think to myself, “Ya know, i think im going to be somthing that throws me into a lifetime of hardship. Somthing that embarreses my family, secludes me from most of society, and makes me question my life.” You know why kids are killing themselves? Because of that exact reason. They are faced with somthing that isnt a choice, that you are just born like this. How awkward must it be to have your whole family, and social life in general, think your somthing that your not. I have thought of suicide so many times. Its unreal. I can tell you 100% that i am not attracted to females. So does God make mistakes oh holy rollers? No, he doesnt. And we are all gods children. By the way, its a good thing i have an amazing family. That doesnt care what you look like, who you love, or what you do. As long as you dont hurt anyone in the process. You only get one life.

I love this. Thank you so much, marine, for serving our country, and I am so glad that now you don’t have to hide who you love so that you can do so. I have nothing but support for you and everyone in the LGBT community. To all those of you who call this sick and disgusting, I wish I was a more generous or religious person so I could say that I’ll pray for you, but I really just want you to get your comeuppance for being so closed minded and bigoted. I feel sorry for you. I think that the people in the LGBT community are braver than any straight person, because it takes courage to come out in a world where so many people don’t accept them.

Again, thank you for serving our country, and I’m so happy that you can be home now and be with the man you love.
