From the age of 8-12 is "active number of years", but one paragraph later Rubio left Mormonism to become a Catholic “a few years later,” ? So which is it, a number of years, or a few?

And seriously, how active can an 8 year old be in church?

Talk about cesspool journalism.

Mormons can try and spin their doctrines in as many contortions that give them some satisfaction; however, the facts remain that they use the name of Jesus, God, and Christianity with different meanings than that of traditional Christianity. In addition, there are some many unique aspects of Mormonism that makes it so dissimilar from other religions. A few of these aspects include the belief that Jesus visited Joseph Smith in New York, that the book of Mormons is a truer version of the Bible and was received on some golden plates discovered by Joseph Smith, the practice of proxy baptism that some refer to as "soul rape", the use of secret rites, oaths, and rituals in their "Temple", that God had physical intercourse with Mary producing a son named Jesus, that the true believer of Mormonism will become a god when they die, and so on. These are just some of the differences between Mormonism and traditional religions. This does not prove that it is a false religion; no religion can ever be false in of itself. Some of its claims may be shown to lack any evidence but that is another issue.

I think it is so funny how so many of you are telling "Mormons" what they believe. If they tell you that they believe in the Bible and the same Christ from the Bible... then shut up! Morons... don't tell them what they believe, maybe you can listen for a change?

Many Evangelicals and Mormons have one thing in common with each other although it is not Biblical at least in the New Testament sense...their bigotry and racism. In this regard BJU = BYU!

But with the advancment of technology going at light speed times a hundred. ABC is doing what everybody is doing and that is trying to stay relevant and on top of the game. And that means having journalist's push out 3 stories a day and as I checked under Mr. Negrin 122 recent articles pushed out. But ufourtunatly for consumer's we suffer because as in most anything, more quanity means less quality. The only Authority on whom is part of Christianity and whom is not could only come from the leaders, theologion's, philosiphor's, teacher's, preacer's and believer's in Christianity. And I assure you, from Jesus to his disiples, to every Christian inbetween. You will not get one to say that your statement is true. You might get a lot of Mormon's claiming to be part of Christianity, they might say they believe in Jesus or read the Bible like we do. But the are wrong. In Christianity the Bible is the infallable Word of God. And it teaches their is only one way to Heaven. And that way is through Belief in Jesus. You must accept Jesus as your Savior and believe he died for your sins. And he was crucified and resurrected 3 days later to show his apostles he had overcame death and to give them and promise them that future generations shall have the Holy Spirit which was also God in them. These are what we call the absolutes. That Jesus is God that he was sent to earth to die for our sins, that he was born of Mary whom was a Virgin, and Jesus was sinless the entire time on earth. We belive in the Trinity meaning God the Father, Jesus the Son, and The Holy Spirit are all One and all God. And that their are no other God's. And when you accept Jesus into your life that you become born again, not of the flesh but of the Spirit. So thats a real crash course. But you will not be able to find a Christian that disagrees with what I said, just as you would never find a Mormon that will say they believe what I have just said. Christianity accepts Chatholic's, Baptist's Luthren's are part of Christianity. But the bible clearly states that these Religion's are not from God. Mormonism, Hinduism, Buddism, Judaism, and many more. So I believe Matt Negrin should retract his statement until he finds a source within Christianity to back him up.

One more thought:

The gospel of the Old Testament was a lesser law. God had given Moses his law, but his people were not ready, so instead they received a lesser law of the ten commandments. When Christ arrived, he taught a higher law noting that all the ten commandments could be wrapped into loving God and thy Neighbor. Mormons believe that after the apostacy, largely accelerated by the Council of Nicea, God new he would need to return as he had before and reestablish his principles of truth, if the promises of the second coming of Christ were to be fulfilled. We call it the Last Dispensation, opened by Joseph Smith at the request of God the Father and Jesus Christ. With this dispensation came the fullness of the Gospel principles. All the Law, including awareness of heaven and the ordinances necessary to keep family bonds eternally. This we believe was forseen by God and is part of his plan. So in Christs time he was seen as being contrary to the Law of Moses, so then are Mormons contray to the tradition of Christinaity.

As a Mormon, I would challenge those who call us non-christian to define what a Christian is? Frequently the answer is a generic "Christ in the Bible" or the "trinity." The first is an arguable position the second is not. The trinity comes from the Council of Nicea, where a political vote was taken to define once and for all "doctrine" in the scriptures. Like most politics it was a close vote, but it was binding and as a Mormon, we believe it to have been incorrect and the beginning of a great apostacy or loss of truth. Christ never asked people to vote on his doctrine. Principles of truth do not change based on the understanding of man. They are discovered as one seek through the spirit, like was witnessed many times in the bible, to understand Christ better.

Come on people wake up and don't fall into the bias media trap of ignoring OBAMA while they're in bed with him!
