Maybe you prefer the Rasmussen polling that has President Obama leading Romney by 7% points – 49% to 42%.
Rasmussen also has President Obama at 50% approval rating.

I think Obama has a lot of people disillusioned. Some that think he’s not done enough, and some that think he doesn’t belong at 1600 Penn Ave. A sign of a true leader. I blame the democratic Senate.
Obama gets flack from the more liberal liberals and the more conservative conservatives. That usually means you’re walking a sensible, measured course.

and therein lies the crux of the biscuit.
If only Bama had a Repub Senate to go with his Repub House then he’d have a “Clinton” chance at governing effectively.
With Romney as the Repub nominee the real election this year is for the Senate and House.
It won’t matter much which guy wins the Presidency but it’s crucial for the People to elect a Repub Congress.
2012 Vote Conservative and give the country a fighting chance.
