Obama visited the Solyndra plant on May 26, 2010, boasting about the loan saying, “the true engine of economic growth will always be companies like Solyndra.” He praised Solyndra as a Recovery Act (stimulus) success story.

But it wasn't his program, per se.

Wasn't it the government that gathered together the resources and the future technology to get us to the moon and back? The internet?

Yes, "we know" what the technologies of the future are. That's what the federal government is known for, plotting the way of the future. This conceit would be risible if it weren't so expensive.

What lie?

The Energy Policy Act of 2005 (Pub.L. 109-58) is a bill passed by the United States Congress on July 29, 2005, and signed into law by President George W. Bush on August 8, 2005, at Sandia National Laboratories in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The act, described by proponents as an attempt to combat growing energy problems, changed US energy policy by providing tax incentives and loan guarantees for energy production of various types.

This act was then absorbed into the Recovery Act, so the President was right. It was created by Congress just as he stated. By the way, this is a passing reference in the interview and is not delivered as any kind of scathing criticism, nor deflection.

You have no counter arguments, so you attack the 'person'? That's lame, but totally expected from the Republican right wing. When you come up with some facts or counterarguments, let us know. Until then, have a decent day.

I think that posting the same Media Matters propaganda again and again under different names actually makes it true. I defend President Obama even if he contradicts himself within the same minute. Notice I NEVER say anything negative about him under any circumstances. That proves I’m credible and sensible and very definitely not a sycophant.
