So it’s totally OK for the media to attack both Bush’s daughters for their partying in College on their own money; but completely acceptable for a 13 yo and her friends ( Not even in High School) to go on a trip out of country for a spring break on our dime?? Obama released his tax return and you still think that the President pays for this on his income, the trip alone is more than 5 times what the dude makes per year. How stupid to you think people are JAKYANKEE, each trip they take costs more than what they’ve made since being in the WH, haha you are so laughable. And for the people that said they have no problems with 13 yo’s going out of country with chaperones, the difference is chaperones don’t cost about a million dollars of money they don’t have. I don’t see anything about the other parents having to pay for this trip. If 25 SS agents aren’t a big deal, then if they were proud parents why wouldn’t they care if the story goes viral?? Just because that particular town is maybe not as much of a threat as other areas, the Country in general, the whole area is known for its kidnapping, extortion, and child slavery; so in other words NOT smart. There is always some level of danger when you are in the US, let alone in a 3rd world country. Doesn’t take someone from Harvard to figure that one out. Its reckless thinking, excuse me shows his true colors as an elitest and how hypocritical this punk is; he wants everybody to do their “Fair Share”, yet he can’t even make a sensible decision about his own daughters and our tax dollars.

so many angry people…first of all, she would secret service protection even if she were in the country; secondly, family vacations are not paid for with public dollars; and thirdly, i cannot wait to see how well the republicans do if elected…every president inherits every other president’s issues, and none can be completely fixed in the 4-8 years in office….the majority of you need to grow up and quit picking on a 13 year old…there are many school trips that take the children to other countries now…we are a global society….

If sending Malia to Mexico with 25 secret service agents is all well and good, why has the White House ordered the whole story scrubbed from the internet? Why flush it down the memory hole?

Surely you’re not that isolated and unaware. School trips are commonly organized out of the country often with a small but sufficient group of parent chaperones. Oaxaca is not on any travel warning.
