So what makes you think oBama will abide by anything that Congress approves or disapproves. He commits troops to Libya, he appoints unConstitutional czars, he makes "recess" appointments even though Congress was in session. He is on record that Congress is keeping him from getting done the things that he wants to get done. When Vladimir says jump, oBama will say "how high - Comrade?"

I am far more frightened by the idiots posting here than by anything Obama does or says.
Any treaty must be approved by Congress, not that they are likely to actually agree and act on anything, so Obama cannot do anything that is not in our interest.
Boehner HAS shown that he will do anything to try and make Obama fail, whether it is good fo US or not.
For Obama to ask for time to consider and to be flexible just makes sense.

Well, presidents meet to negotiate. I'd rather them both be more flexible and compromise than have another Caribbean Crisis that put the whole world on the edge. Politics are about negotiating, not dictating and going to war over everything. No? So how is Obama a "traitor"? Is Russia a threat to US? I don't think so.
I must say a large portion of American population is just scary. They perceive the world as if it is in the state of war and they are surrounded by enemies. I think the next Great Wall of China will be built around US border... So many people still live in the Cold War realities. Wow, just wow. You know, there are many other countries in the world where people don't feel that day-to-day paranoia that they will be attacked, where people don't feel that everybody hates them and is after them. I don't mean Canada in particular. Europe, Latin America. Maybe many of those countries are not as "fancy", but people there feel pretty safe without putting missiles all around themselves, so I'd rather live there. And, contrary to popular in America belief, the world does not feel safe because of the US and their missiles. If anything, we would feel a lot better if both of you guys (US and Russia) put your missiles and world domination dreams behind. It's not 1970's anymore, people.
The little that I know about this whole "missile debate" is that the US are putting their missile defence systems in Europe, which annoys Russia, because it's right at their borders. Europe is not in the US, not even on the same continent. I don't think your "safety needs" extend that far. I don't wanna sound like I'm siding with Russia, but I don't see them trying to put missiles in Latin America or Canada and claim it's for their defence. Otherwise I'd be the first one to freak out! If you wanna be stacking some weapons, at least do it within your borders.
All in all, both the US and Russia have enough territory & resources and both have enough of their own INTERNAL problems. Why not to deal with those problems instead of playing some geopolitical games half-way across the world?

Face it, Obama got caught with his pants down. He's promising to weaken our defenses in exchange for Putin not making trouble during his campaign.

This, from our Commander-in-Chief. It's despicable. President Obama is endangering the lives of our children in exchange for political favors.

This man is very dangerous to America. He's going to try and steal the election again and if he does people, Hold on to your hats. He will do his utmost to bring down America. He has been working on his secret agenda and he's just about ready to put it into play. Mark my word. I don't claim to be a Rocket Scientist but I can see whats happening. God Help US....

Dear Vladimir... would you mind telling us what oBama has planned for our country if he were to win a second term? We already know he lies and cannot be trusted to tell us his real intentions. We thought maybe you could shed some light on this for us. Thanks!

Jim Rod says As Mr Obama said arms control is exceedingly complex. He needs to have the flexibility to reach agreements without the distraction of electoral pressures or frankly the criticisms of Congressmen with political bias.He is almost always the smartest person in the room, so I would trust his judgement-and it really isn’t anybody else’s business what personal agreements he is able to reach..He is the President and entitled to do what is best for this country.

The man does nothing but lie and you trust him. People like you will never open their eyes.

Obama looks like a man pleading with his loan sharks (Medvedev/Putin) for missing his vig payment. Do the Russians know something about obama that Americans should know? Are the Russians blackmailing or dear POTUS?
