I think that many people with MS have the more common type which is relapsing-remitting MS, the type Ann Romney has. People should be aware that there are other types as well, such as primary progressive (no remissions, which is what I have), secondary progressive, where people such as Ann Romney can often become, which is very similar to primary progressive. There are a couple of other types as well, and this is not an imaginary or made up disease. I would tell you to ask Richard Pryor about that, but he passed away from complications of primary progressive MS.

I was diagnosed with MS in 2005. My neurologist told me that mine was caught early enough to remit most of the symptoms that occurs with this disease. I did not tell anyone because with medication (which costs a fortune if you don’t have insurance), exercise and rest, you wouldn’t even know that i have this disease. It never fails that someone that is in the spot light wants you to feel sorry for them for something. I don’t like Mitt Romney. I have no plans to vote for him.

After reading these comments, I realized just how mean a lot of people are. I have MS and I “don’t look sick”. I am not rich but I have means through my insurance provider to afford the expensive medication. MS is a painful. degenerative disease and although I will not vote for her husband, I am glad that she is letting people know about MS. People, please know what you’re talking about before you speak in a forum.

GOBAMA. Seriously, YOU know what an MS patient looks like???? Do you have picture? Since I have MS, I would love to know how I am supposed to look. If I saw a picture of you, I would at least know what stupid looks like.

To all the Obama supporters who are bashing Ann Romney because she is opening up about her MS: why don’t you listen to what Obama has said: the family of a candidate is off limits. He didn’t say just his family is off limits. It is really sad to hate someone because they have money. It is hypocritical. You are just jealous that you are not that rich, and if you say you would not want to have as much money as Romney or Obama, you are telling a big fat lie. All the people who resent Romney because he has money, should do research as to how many of the people leading this country are multi-millionaires …on both the red and blue side of the aisle. In fact, 7 out of the top 10 richest congressmen today are Democrats. I wonder how they (or their spouses) all got their money. My guess would be, no different than the way Romney has. Hating people because they have something you do not is a waste of time and it makes you look like a hateful and envious jerk. Where were all these hateful comments from liberals when Ted Kennedy was spending hundreds of thousands of dollars on medical care for his brain tumor? You think he said “Maybe I shouldn’t have these procedures because poor and middle class people can’t afford them.”? You think he and his family got their money taking care of the poor and middle class? Better read your history. There will always be have’s and have not’s and if we are really lucky, the have’s will spend some of their money so that us have not’s can make a living. We can also only hope that they continue to pay taxes (even with loop holes) so that those who can’t or won’t work and don’t pay taxes at all, have some type of benefits.

CND FOX, what is the difference between Ann Romney helping MItt and Michelle Obama when Obama was/is campaigning??….Michelle has been all over speaking for her husband, shoot she has her own plane, own wing in the WH, her own staff, basically has her own everything to match Obama just like she herself is the prez…and as you say, Michelle is not the candidate we are deciding on, her husband is, correct??….correct….is Michelle speaking for him because the prez is such a nerd and so unlikeable?…could it be?…guess so by your logic FOX!

I also don’t think a lot of attention is being payed to her. What about Mrs. Obama? We knew everything she thought, wore, and anything else. Mrs. Romney up until now has stayed in the background.
