Don’t blame presidents. Blame the people that knowingly broke rules, red or blue.

Don’t demean federal employees. I’ve easily saved more in 6 years doing my job for you than this conference cost. Most of that negotiating with private contractors trying to rip you off.

You can’t defend this blatant waste nor should you try, but please consider the scale. The tab for the Iraq War eclipsed this amount in less than 4 minutes. In other words a 2 night stay in Baghdad would have been $786 million.

Save your ire for the real waste.

I worked for both the Federal & local government in my lifetime for a total of over ten years. I can tell you all that this, contrary to the bureaucrat LIES, happens quite often but not with as much $$$ involved. The only reason the bureaucrats are “investigating” is because they were caught. All the LIES and lip service and “investigations” are just to cool off the general public. Anyone claiming that government spending is not like this is liar. Look at the Iraq War… something in the neighborhood of 2 BILLION dollars is “missing.” Got any ideas where that $$$ went to ? Yep. It was split between some Iraq bureaucrats and their criminal American counterparts. WHY PAY TAXES TO A CORRUPT AMERICAN GOVERNMENT ??????????

Doesn’t matter which party or which president it”s all wrong and they, from bottom to top, should be fired, arrested, lose all benefits, pay back their part of the theft, do time in jail and never be able to hold any position in any form of government, local state or federal. In other words they should be treated just like you and me would be if we did something like this. It is also time to throw the tea into the harbor people, if you catch my drift, enough is enough. BTW you people posting that it is Bush’s fault or Obama’s fault it doesn’t matter it has to stop. Personally I think we should blame Washington, Lincoln and Kennedy but that doesn’t matter it just has to stop.
