Why not keep the student loan interest rate at the same rate the banks borrow money from the fed?
Seems fair and creates an informed population of college educated citizens that now would have a handle on how the politicians, bankers, and other collections of thieves takes a cut of our labors..

Even easier rebuttal, it is like you have amnesia about the mess the Republican policies of 8 years left us in. The stock market in freefall, the banking industry about to collapse, as well as the American auto industry. The Obama administration has accomplished a lot despite the economic downturn and the Republicans in Congress doing all they could to block good legislation.
A little honesty is good for the soul.

This whole thing may be irrelevant. But Romney once refused to sign my school lunchbox, and I haven’t forgotten it. I go by Buzz, but once a cute girl asked me if I was “Buzz Off”? I told her — “NO, my full name is Buzz Lightyear.” She just said, “Whatever”, and walked off laughing. I still don’t get it.

@EASY REBUTTAL, there has been a net job LOSS since Obama has become president, so on whole, or in total, he hasn’t improved things in that regard. Furthermore, during his presidency unemployment has always been above 8%, and often above 9%. By his own criteria, in both of these areas, he should not be given a second term. Additionally, both Iran and China are truly laughing at him each and every day. Obvious. Please get honest.

Pretty dumb and absolutist statement – and just plain wrong.

Over 4 million jobs have been added since Obama’s policies hit full stride. GM is back at the #1 car company in the world! Third shifts are being added at automotive plants. Manufacturing is up. Another 100,000+ jobs added in March.

Iraq war has been ended. A withdrawal plan is in place for Afghanistan. Bin Laden is dead. Kaddafhi is gone. Many, many al Qaeda leaders are gone. All of the world including Russia and China are onside against Iranian nuclear development. Nuclear inspectors are back in Iran. Against odds, America has been protected from any massive terrorist attack.

The stock market has gone up hugely since Obama’s policies began to kick in. People have regained all of their savings they lost under Bush and more. Oil production in the country is up. Green energy production in the country is up. Don’t ask, don’t tell has been repealed. Equal pay for equal work reinforced. Millions of low-income children covered under health care.

This is a top of the line administration.
