@Sharon: Obama’s “drug use” happened when he was a teenager. Plenty of young men have enlisted and, in fact, served several tours of duty in Iraq and Afghanistan with similar records. Romney’s record of bullying and animal cruelty, with lack of remorse for his victims, screams psychopathology.

Dave, it’s getting pretty bad…. I used to be a Republican, then an Independent who voted Republican, then a Democrat who defended my Republican friends and family members against criticism….

Now I just assume that any Republican opinion is going to be grossly misinformed and motivated by the meanest sentiments.

I mean, they don’t even know what Obama did in China…. they are just going to scream lies about it. And this if going to happen for the next several months.

Just tune them out. They lie and they know it. Focus on getting people registered and making sure they have voter IDs. Romney will continue to fall short of Obama’s numbers. So it’s not worth wasting too much energy on the paid astroturfers that flood the web. In fact, the actually reinforce people’s negative views of the GOP’s policies. The thing to do is focus on motivating as many people, regardless of party ID, to vote. If the eligible voters vote, Obama wins, we all win.

Yeah, Romney will say anything to get a job. Meanwhile, the Secretary of State is negotiating for the lives of a man and his family and trying to protect US national interests in the process.

Next week, Romney will be claiming credit for the negotiations. And running swift boat attack ads against it. The guy’s a clown.

Even other Republicans are starting to tell him to zip it. About time.

This is why he said that he would close Guantanamo and have civilian trials for “foreign combatants”. Now Mr Axelrod condemns Mitt Romney for taking a position (when asked) on handling of the Chinese dissident.
