Warren was listed as Native American in a faculty directory. No where in the story does it say she benefited from Affirmative Action in admissions or jobs (in fact, the article says the opposite). If you have proof that she checked off Native American on a school or job application, produce it. Otherwise, move on. Nothing to see here.

PKSK531, correct your heritage would be Irish-German, but you would not CLAIM to be either Irish or German. The hyphen-american came into existence in the 70tes because some liberal thought it sounded good, in that context we could all call our selfs something American, but most of as choose AMERICAN and are proud of it.

Mark Neveu – actually yes. If you can document it, you can claim it! Not a problem. If people can say a they are Scottish, Norwegian, Whatever because a great great grandmother was, so can she and so can you. My grandfather came from Germany, great grandmother from Ireland- if asked my heritage, I say Irish -German. Basic, simple and honest.
