She may have mistakenly thought Barry was born in Kenya.

I know dozens of people who have published books…. depending on the press…. their practices vary. In some cases, you are asked to furnish your own bio. But if there are high profile figures involved… and if the press (and/or publicist) is trying to get a book out of you… they are going to be more proactive about working up the surrounding materials. It’s just a fact.

Uh… I thought the book was never published. Why “correct” an error in something that isn’t published?

Obviously, the publisher had someone scrape together a bio in case the project went forward. What people don’t know about the publishing industry is that they have people market their product…. the people who market the product are not the same people who wrote the book. Often, the marketing dept. puts together something that they think will look good…. but if the book never was published, then I don’t know why the publisher would correct a press kit for a book they weren’t selling….

Very strange that the birthers are fixated on this. Do you realize that it would require the state of Hawaii and the newspapers in Hawaii to have lied retroactively? This is a hard thing to accomplish. I know Obama’s policies are always “unprecedented” and “outrageous”…. but time travel is a stretch.

Yet inexplicably for 20 years, the publisher carried a bio about Obama said the exact opposite his dad was a finance minister and he was born in Kenya and raised in Indonesia and Hawaii.

It was published in 1991 and only in 2007 did they take it down.

It’s just like Rev. Wright, despite profoundly disagreeing with Wright’s philosophies and world view, Obama attended his church for 20 years until the election when he distanced himself from Rev. Wright.

Obama is either a very slow learner or a very fast learner, I can’t tell which, he’s in a coma for twenty years and then snaps out of it instantly around election time.
