Are you guys going bonkers? Christie does not help Romney at all. Southern people will not support Christie because he is far too liberal for them. Romney must win Florida and Ohio. If Romney looses either of these 2 states, he will not win election. Rubio and Gov. Martinez of New Mexico help in Florida but not Ohio. Portman will help in Ohio, somewhat Florida but not the other red states. Just stay away from the northeners who cannot help in the south or the election is toast.

George W. Bush inherited a strong economy, a budget surplus, and a nation at peace.
Eight years later, he left Obama with a shattered economy, a trillion dollar deficit, and two useless wars.
Obama saved the country from another Great Depression, rebuilt GM, reformed healthcare, reformed Wall Street, doubled the stock market, created 8 straight quarters of GDP growth, created 22 straight months of private sector job growth, got Bin Laden, got Gaddafi, and got us out of Iraq.
And now with the automatic spending cuts and the expiration of the Bush tax cuts in 2012, Obama will have solved the deficit problem as well.
I sure hope we don’t go back to another Bush lite.

Condi Rice would make a good VP pick. I know that she has some of same traits that Gov. Christi’ has in her somewhere. She should let them loose on O’Bummer.

Romney said that as Governor of Mass, he created jobs there, putting people to work. What he conveniently left out was that 47 other state Governors created more jobs than he did. I guess that’s the new Romney Math working there for him. Next, he’ll say he created FaceBook too.

Dumb and Dumber. The GOP has not had a sound intelligent mind in a very very long time. All they preach is hate and bigotry. We all know what time it is, the arrogant fat guy who uses police helicopters to go to his sons little league games and who berated an Iraq war veteran on TV should be ashamed of himself as that was uncalled for, having him escorted out of the room.

The other lying guy who fled from Cuba’s Castro….oh wait, that was not remotely true at all, he never was in Cuba, he just thought people elsewhere were too dumb to figure that out. Obviously, the folks in Florida are still working on that.

I think America is tired of GOP ‘s wining and crying. Can’t they come up with solutions?

Fact is that TAX CUTS doesn’t create jobs. We’ve seen that during the Bush years with no jobs created.

Why can’t the conservatives face the facts that Romney as Gov was 47 (almost last) in 50 states for job creation in his state. What makes people think he’s changed??

Newt made a very good point about Romney “I think he’s a liar”. He was spot on with that statement.

It seems many people here are ignoring the one mantra of the Republican tax platform that is actually a total FAILURE!! CBO graphs show that the LARGEST contributor to the debt is NOT the bailout, not SS and Medicare but the Bush tax cuts. you see. So what do the Reps want to do? CUT THE TAXES MORE!! Makes no sense. Yes, reform taxes but you cannot cut the Revenue source and expect to balance the books. You have to cut AND spend. CUT defense as well as other items, but you have to let the tax cuts expire – all of them.

Joe is correct – you have to spend money to make money. Here is the cycle – government invests in infrastructure, which puts money into the pockets of Construction Workers [hard hit industry and middle class]. These workers then spend their money on goods which creates a demand which creates orders for manufacturing, and it goes on. It all started with spending.. BY THE WAY, at each step, there are increased government revenues in the way of taxes.

Actually Lizzie you are wrong, so I would not make any general assumptions about people’s standard of living. That is the tactic that the GOP is currently using.
