Does everyone not see what is wrong with this country? WE are so split in half one way or the other. My parents voted for Barack in 2008 I did not vote. I have my reasons I will get into later. But my parents voted for the candidate who they thought would be the best fit for OUR country. Why can't we all do that. Stop the bickering. You want to know why everything goes at a snails pace in the house and senate? It's because we don't have a strong willed president. All of our best presidents knew what they wanted to do had a plan and stuck by it and didn't care what people thought. I for once in my lifetime hope to see a president have a plan, tell us about it, and actually show us he is not going to be swayed from pushing that plan through. Pres. Obama had a lot of good ideas when he came into office, but I believe he was swayed by so many different people that he has lost sight of what the main goal was. This goes to why I won't vote. I can't vote for a president who I can't believe will be a true leader for this country. It literally is the BLIND LEADING THE BLIND. We need a strong candidate. Someone that will fight for us. We need some kind of unity and a leader to talk and help unite the house and senate on issues of importance. We need a real President of These United States.

What a lot was expected when Obama was given the Nobel. He can at least be better in the 2nd term ,without being seen as a bully. We all need peace, basic education, opportunity to develop skills and decent living. The developed world is consuming too much and generating a lot of rubbish, which is damaging environment. International scheming & powerful armies (in any other nice names) are only a waste of time and resources. The technology today is simply too dangerous for war games. Royal families and other gangs should not have a role in politics, unless individuals contest legally.

obama was awarded Nobel peace price without doing anything for it, just for the hope he created for the betterment of world peace. But now he speaks only about the war. we in asia are afraid of him, with all his words and other attributes that is all void. Is is not possible to expect decent living for non americans. Do we really need a super rich class with empty heads, some of them only teens who use the media to make their millions, while the hard working people with skills or knowledge head nowhere. Is it necessary to make nasty war heads to keep peace, and to sell them to other countries ar high prices in corrupt deals. thanx. your response invited.

If Obama has to beat himself in this election, there's no way he'll beat Romney... but I don't think it really matters who we elect at this point. America WILL crash -- I STRONGLY believe that is inevitable.

Mitt Romney will get rid of loop holes in the tax system.....Posted by: Tim | May 7, 2012, 10:00 am.

Mitt is on record as saying the capital gains tax should be completely eliminated. Which would give HIM and his rich cronies an immediate and multi-million-dollar tax cut. The only loopholes he would target are the few small ones that help middle class tax payers.........

The U.S has the highest corporate tax rate in the world (35 percent) and Barack doesn’t care. Posted by: Tim | May 7, 2012, 10:00 am.

Just two points: 1) The top 20 corporations in the US paid an average federal tax rate last year of under 20%. Look it up. 2) Obama is on record as saying the 'official' top marginal corporate tax rate of 35% should be lower. However, he cannot lower it himself. Congress has to draft a bill. Specifically, the House has to do it. Because it impacts the federal budget. That's the law. If the House Republicans, who write all the budget-related bills since they took over 16 months ago, wanted the rate lowered, they could write a clean and simple bill to do so, and send it to the Senate. If the Senate rejects it or sits on it or otherwise doesn't pass it, THEN you can blame the Dems.

You guys are both wrong. It's the George Bush moderate republicans and demobrats who made this mess. It is because of progressive politicians who think that the constitution is out dated, and make too much government intrusion in the economy. Government spending does not create jobs! Bill Clinton created jobs when he had a balanced budget! I support Mitt Romney, because he has gotten rid of a deficit. He is going to balance the budget I hope. He's not going back to the policies of George Bush who went to war and spent money that wasn't ours. The U.S has the highest corporate tax rate in the world (35 percent) and Barack doesn't care. He tells companies to bring jobs back from overseas, but his taxes are prohibitive. Mitt Romney will bring the corporate tax rate down to 25 percent. Bill Clinton said on an interview that we NEED to bring the corporate tax down. It's killing this economy and sending jobs overseas. Mitt Romney will be a president who will work with both sides, he will get things done, and we will have an economy like the good years of Bill Clinton's presidency. Isn't that what you want! Mitt Romney will get rid of loop holes in the tax system, and grow this economy which will mean more revenue for the government.
