Anyone who believes stats has never been forced to take it through college or experienced higher education. Stats are misleading and easily abused -- a tool to confuse the uneducated and a tool used for those who think all Americans are dumb and easily controlled.

Oh stats.... so misleading and easily abused. But, some people see it as fact and the media and politicians love to feed those people.

I sure as don’t know what the answers are, but I do know people who can afford health insurance, but simply choose to rely on the rest of us. On a three-hour Friday evening visit to a packed ER with at least 18 other patients, only one other person produced an insurance card. No one was bleeding profusely or had an arm dangling, but there was lots of coughing and one rash. That’s why an aspirin costs $15.00—to cover the slackers. I’m all for helping out those in desperate times—no jobs, long-term illnesses, etc. But there are too many able-bodied people who simply make the choice not to have health coverage, and hope that nothing goes wrong. I’ve seen things go very wrong—kids with Type I diabetes complications, moms and dads with cancer, kids needing organ transplants—and they all had insurance. I’ve witnessed people with insurance eat crap and smoke and not exercise. We all pay for them too, because their premiums sure as heck aren’t covering their irresponsible behavior. I want my insurance to pay for my family and those who got dealt the crappy hand, not the insured and uninsured who make irresponsible choices. Problem is, the irresponsible are beginning to outnumber the rest of us. Some of us don’t want to be frugal Germany bailing out Greece because they choose to make the popular, yet foolish, decisions.

The solution to the nation's health care problem is threefold: 1) Change the tax code such that all monies spent on legitimate health care items are deductible, 2) Allow Health Savings Accounts for all, and 3) subsidize from general revenue funds, those that are living in poverty.

The other solution is to adopt Germany's Social Security System.

What many people are assuming is that most people currently without health insurance would purchase it if the law stands. That won't happen. Most people still won't purchase insurance. They won't pay the monthly costs and will instead take a smaller, or no, income tax refund at tax time due to paying the penalty.

It’s very interesting to read the anti-ACA posts that never mention the plight of over 40 million Americans that have no insurance or access to adquate health care.+++MIKEYBOY++++You go ahead and pay for them.I don't care if their are 180 million the law is still unconstitutional. What part of that do you not understand?

ok, so I tried to read the ACA, well, actually I tried to read the table of contents which is 31 pages long. The entire document is 974 pages. It is incomprehensible. The question was "Do I support the ACA?" The answer is actually a question - how can I possibly support something that I cannot even begin to read. I came away from it thinking that it is full of platitudes and intentions, but no clearly defined rule of law that will help an American citizen nor any American business bear the ridiculous cost of health care and coverage. All the party blustering and revolution talk that many of you are participating in is as worthless as the ACA document. All that is being accomplished by enacting this law is furthering job security for the lawyers - yet another cost that will be passed on to those who seek healthcare or coverage. My hope is that it will be declared unconstitutional.
