Oh whaah! Democrats controlled both chambers of Congress for 18 months during Obama’s term. They had no problem at all passing ObamaCare, now did they?

As far as “illegal immigration” if you call an executive order after three and a half years in office “real progress” we there just isn’t any hope for you.

Obama didn’t just “speak out” against raising the debt ceiling. He called Bush’s raising of the debt ceiling “unpatriotic.” Now much greater increases in the debt ceiling are somehow not unpatriotic and that not doing so will stop the flow of Social Security checks (which is a lie). That’s the definition of fear-mongering and self-serving hypocrisy for political points.

Democrats didn’t provide a plan for addressing the debt trajectory, which is why S&P lowered the credit rating from AAA to AA+ (it wasn’t “lost”). When did Democrats reverse the deficit spending when they recently controlled Congress? When did they submit a balanced budget? When did the Democrat-controlled Senate pass ANY budget, balanced or not?

MAJOR steps were taken towards cleaning out Gitmo and then all attempts to bring the remaining prisoners into the federal system were blocked by Congress. Presidents can’t do everything by themselves.

How did Bush do on his promises to eliminate the deficit and start paying down the national debt? He ran up deficit after deficit, doubled the national debt and then watched a major economic crisis unfold on his watch.
