The problems for you Republican supporters is Bush came into office promising to eliminate deficits and pay down the national debt. and bring a better 'business' sense to the government - sound familiar? Can you say "Romney" boys and girls?

What did we get from those Republican promises? Deficit after deficit, a doubled national debt and a major economic crisis the country is still damaged by.

Not again, no thanks!

It's good to see Republicans finally taking the blame for Republicans.

"And 48% for an incumbent is a good thing?" - Veritas

For Bama that's great!
Keep in mind he's worse than Carter.
If it wasn't for the Media he'd be at 41%
Throw out the illegal voters and the racists and he'd easily be in the mid 30's.

Republicans can be Progressives too (many were thrown out of office in 2010). Democrats didn't have any problems with the spending during the Bush years, except to complain it was too darn low. Democrats never submitted a balanced budget when they controlled both sides of Congress under Obama.

Yes, we saw what happened when Democrat Clinton turned over his surpluses to Republican Bush. Deficit after deficit and the doubling of the national debt.

The Republicans came into office with Bush promising eliminated deficits and a paying down of the national debt.

The result? Deficit after deficit, a doubled national debt - and then the economic crisis that took the country down. You'll remember Bush's first failed stimulus was in January of 2008 - that added $158 billion to the deficit for 2008. You'll also remember Bush's TARP plan - that added $700 billion to the deficit for 2009.

Do you think the 8.5 million jobs, businesses, homes and savings lost during the Bush economic collapse affected revenues or expenditures? No, you probably don't.

The federal government has balanced its budget only six times in the past half-century, four times during Bill Clinton's presidency. The federal budget was balanced in fiscal years 1998, 1999, 2000 and 2001. A Republican-controlled Congress approved the appropriations for each one of those years and Democratic President Bill Clinton signed them. The Republican majority Congress elected in November 1994 presided over two fiscal years with declining deficits—fiscal 1996 and 1997—before it initially balanced the budget in fiscal 1998. In fiscal 1996 and 1997, the deficits were $107.4 billion and $21.9 billion respectively.

In the November 2006 elections, Democrats won back the majority in both the House and Senate, and in the three fiscal years that have started since then (2008, 2009, 2010), they have run record deficits of $458.6 billion, $1.41 trillion and $1.29 trillion.

The last time a Democrat-controlled Congress submitted a balanced budget was 1969, over 40 years ago.

As for Bill Clinton’s presidency, before dot.com The omnibus budget Reconciliation Act of 1993 was passed in congress without a single republican vote, it required that the budget be balanced in a number of years, the top 1.2% had their taxes increased, poor had theirs decreased, tax cuts were made to 90% of small businesses. And subsequently we had the greatest economic expansion ever, despite taxes being raised on the wealthy, we had the lowest poverty rates since 20 years prior (interesting the poverty rates rise under republican presidencies and after their presidency terminates, but seem to DECLINE with a dem president in second term). Always cleaning up a republican’s mess, the depression, (first) Bush’s recession along with their high yearly deficits trickling in from Reagan.

Yes, we women prefer it when we're called 'sluts' and 'prostitutes' by Republican shills like Limbaugh, and when Republican states pass laws telling us what to do with our bodies.
