What really amazes me...is how shallow, emotional and completely lacking in 'awareness', so much of the middle class electorate is. All this BS about the "State of the Economy". And yet under this president - who inherited one of worst since the Great Depression - has madE steady positive gains all through the past 4 years - with absolutely no help from the opposing Party. And now....3-4 months before the election it is the "only" topic of converstaion? Where were you people when the GOP, conservatives and Tea Party obstructed everything the President tried to do for our infrastructure - that could have put thousands and thousands back to work? You were 'asleep'. Just like always. And yet your personal 'quality of life' has deteriorated so greatly since the year 2000. And LOl....you can't figure it out. The 1% through the auspices of a conservative Supreme Court and their pandering Citizens United decision are destroying your middle class life. And you have absolutely - NO CLUE.

Unemployment is high because the jobs went overseas. Without manufacturing/large scale in the USA, we will not find the unemployment rate coming down. The opening of the Global economy did one thing above all else it made the rich guy richer and put the American worker out of work. I doubt this can EVER be reversed. Stop blaming Obama for the unemployment rate. AND...don't you for one minute think Romney will change the cycle.

an incumbent who cant run on his own record has no chance. the dems and obama have done nothing other than explode the debt and give money to their cronies.this will be over by September. as our rudderless economy continues to slide.

I will not be voting for a man that thinks his values and opinion are above the word of God and who chooses to change the doctrine of what this nation was built upon. Many leaders have come and gone. But the first clue to their downfall, is that pride comes before the Fall.

angeline tetteris-You seem to forget that Democrats have controlled congress for 4 of the past 5 years. It is their policies that got us into this situation. Spcifically the housing bubble created by Clinton, Dodd and Frank. They are the ones who forced banks to loan money to those who could not afford it repay it. That is what started this entire recession. Obama has done nothing but kick the can further down the road, saddle us with Obamacare, and more debt in 3 years that Bush did in 8. Our country cannot take 4 more years of Obama.

Over the weekend I watched part of a conference on TV about getting the Minority voters out to vote and how in my opinion racist the show was. And then i watched a show about how the dems feel to make a legal citizen show an ID was wrong. You know i do not want someone from another country who is illegal help decide who will run my nation. The dems have done nothing for the poor but make the poor poorer. They have created no substantial jobs increase to put people back to work. Guess maiking minimum wage is good eneough according to Obama and his pals.

Once again, these so-called 'polls' were taken by liberal media like WaPo, ABC and NBC, which tell me that the numbers favor the left, as usual. The polls also did not reveal if the voters polled were likely voters or registered voters! Polls from registered voters are not reliable as, a good percetage may likely not vote on election day! How come ABC don't use more reliable poll like Rasmussen? Because they know the numbers would be more realistic. That's ok though. The Independence voters will be the ones who will decide this year's election. And, with more people unemployed (thanks to Oloser) they'll make their voices heard in November. Now, if we can get the Democrats to stop stuffing the ballot boxes, we would have a fair election!

Very close election with an edge to Obama. Obama needs to stop talking about Bain though, and start talking about Romney's call to let the U.S. auto industry go under.

The only hope for the libs is Hillary. The ship is sinking at a high speed and nothing cannot save the ship except a third party candidate such as Hillary.

I cannot believe the short memory Americans have. I have asked a simple question to myself: Who has put us and the world in this mess? My only answer is the Republicans over eight years. How long do you think this mess will take to clear up? overnight? and look what happened in 2010! They came back for a simple reason: not to have the tax break the rich Republicans were enjoying under Bush. They stopped it from returning. This country needs income. Europe needs income also. Wall Street has disctoyed over pensions of blue color people. Now, we have the Republicans controlling the house with a Democratic President. What do you people expect? You are forgetting Republicans are running this country AGAIN! You will not have social security, no help from the government whatsoever, state governments are suffering for money and who is paying for it? YOU! If we have a Republican President coming in. We averted a depression by giving these bailouts. A republican president was asking for them first, not only this president that came in and saved us. The republicans are quiet now, not making waves, only to get their republican president in. After that, I feel sorry for myself, with health care, the republicans have their hands in to line their pockets. And the republicans will again control Wall Street under their rule AGAIN. Wake up America, Republicans put us in this mess, which is taking a long time to recover because they are back AGAIN. rediculous!
