Sorry, I meant to say “I knew his niece here…” I’m not that old that I would know his aunt, LOL. So Kendall, Don Herbert was probably Beakman’s mentor, although I’ve never heard of Beakman. Do you think his name was manufactured in a beaker?

Does anyone remember Don Herbert, “Mr. Wizard,” from Chicago, back in the 1950s? I think he was the first scientist educating children on tv. I knew his aunt here in NJ/NY. I don’t know if he was as ignorant politically as Bill Nye, but he was at least as good with showing kids how to do experiments with much comedy and personality.
