I think he does not understand how sugar nails the insulin button in all people.
We are simply not made to deal with that sort of instant ruch of carbs
and providing those types and quantities of food to kids is just setting them up
for disease in later life....and ourselves up for big medical bills.
There is no upside to the personal welfare of the individual in leaving this
product uncontrolled. It dies benefit society somewhat by protecting jobs in the
the related industries: sugar, beverage, and of course....medical care.

Just sayin.

I am just really angry with Christie because of his attitude toward his weight. He is a heart attack waiting to happen and he has to be a selfish person as he has children and a wife.During my yearly checkup my Dr says my blood glucose was a tad elevated and I could go on a diet or medication. I oped for the 1400 calorie, lost 40 pds. walk 3 miles 5 days a week and my blood glucose is now to low. We only have one body and we must take care of this body. Gov. get a grip for your weight will
hold you back for many success's you could achieve.

Good thing that Christie has medical insurance paid for by New Jersey. He is destined to have diabetes or heart disease in addition to his asthma. I don't want to pay for his healthcare!
He is the wrong person to carry a message about the "daddy state". He needs to take more responsibility for his weight and not try to shoot the messager.

Although I do disagree with the Mayor's soda ban it is because of people like Chris Christie, for example, that the Mayor is hoping that children will not become like and who he is trying to protect. Christie speaks very candidly about his addiction to food and the difficulties he has with weight loss. I applaud the guy for his effort in trying. I'm not a fan of the guy at all but you can hear... and even read in his words the very painful hurt he endures because of it. Are there other methods to reach the same end? Possibly. But, I think whatever method is chosen if the result is not having children feel the anguish he does is well worth it.

"Large Soda Ban" would make a great Democrat campaign slogan if Christie gets the VP nomination.

Note the vicious personal attacks from the vile, hateful, intolerant left. What low-life human beings.

Democrats use more vile, hateful attacks compared to the Republican crowd? Hahahaha! Fat chance.

To Don, Granite and Kate: Cry me a river. Have you listened to Ann Coulter, Laura Ingraham, Rush Limbaugh, Michael Savage? If you open your mouth in public be prepared to have the words you say get shoved right back down. Why is it that Republicans are only tolerant of their own intolerance? Does hypocrisy possibly figure into that equation? This is an election year, time to toughen up those hides crybabies from both parties.
