Yes, both sides have exaggerated and both sides have lied. But this one is a double pants on fire lie. In an ironic twist, in 2005 then Gov. Romney asked the administration for exactly this sort of waiver. What is really scarry though, is that this is an ABC website! Shame on you ABC for supporting this sort of extremist claptrap. And shame on those who wrote acrid comments appearantly without doing any research.

So your factcheck determined that Romney’s ad is totally false with respect to things as they currently stand but if the Obama admin does what Romney’s accusing him of in the future, his ad would then be sort of true… You don’t see how idiotic that sounds ABC?

Have some guts and just say it’s 100% untrue. If inexplicably future events change things then change your ruling then.

Saying this ad is “a bit hypocritical” is like saying the Ku Klux Klan is unwelcoming to non-white neighbors.

This a is nothing short of an out-an-out lie, of the crassest and most nauseating sort, and it’s long past time for news outlets like ABC to stand up and say so. It’s not partisanism or partiality to call a lie a lie. It’s not a violation of journalistic integrity. What is a violation is to let a lie stand for fear that calling it out will be labeled “Bias.”

Your headline should read, “Romney Lies about Obama position on welfare.”

Nobama knows he can’t win re-election through the working middle class, so he will buy the union vote, the latino vote, and now the welfare vote. Just think what this country would look like if you had to be legal to vote, the President wasn’t handing money to the unions faster than he can print it, and if you had recieved assistance for more than two years and were able bodied you got cut off. Nobama certainly wouldn’t be President!
