Just 3 months ago, Obama's position was to favor traditional marriage without so much as a peep from the radical left. Now a mere business owner expresses his position to favor traditional marriage and the radical left goes bananas - including the liberal mayor of SF, the liberal mayor of Chicago, and the radical mayor of boston. Goes to show how much of an agitator Obama really is. Have the democrats all gone completely mad???? Posted by: Bill | August 2, 2012, 3:25 pm There's no way it was going to collapse. GM had, and still has, a lot of fat that it would've been able to cut (what Bain Capital does), but they avoided that with the bailout. GM wasn't going anywhere -it was the UAW that was actually on the chopping block, and the DNC used taxpayer money to keep the UAW afloat so that they could keep their own donations to them, from the unions, flowing. [GM] would have collapsed without government assistance.

And GM was still very profitable overall! Have people forgotten it was only a few years ago under Bush that GM was close to collapsing? And Larry you seem to have forgotten - there was a major collapse of banks and financial institutions at the same time under Bush. There was no loose money around to prop up GM. It would have collapsed without government assistance. “The company’s overall profit was better than Wall Street expected. GM earned 90 cents per share, compared with 75 cents forecast by analysts.”
