"Given the precedent set by past seven Presidents and Presidential candidates of releasing multi-year tax returns why is Romney making an exception?" Because he has a lot to hide, apparently.

He's the only one that knows what's in there, and apparently he's made the judgement that he's better off having us suspect the worst, rather than us knowing whats in there, which apparently in his mind is worse than anything we're likely to imagine.

Possibilities include:

(1) He ended up with 120 million in his 401K by the trick of agreeing with Bain to grossly undervalue the market value of his stock, then a few years later have the stock get unvalued to the stratosphere.

(2) He participated in the tax avoidance amnesty program of a few years back, avoiding major tax penalties or prosecution.

(3) Any one or more of the other borderline legal but very bad smelling tax dodges-- "in-kind" trades, "no-risk" trades, no-risk write-offs, the list is almost endless.

And BTW he HASNT even released all of his 2010 return, he very conveniently left off the foreign investments and deposits form. Very convenient.

And his argument that it would be "bothersome" to collect the tax data is a crock too-- he supposedly collected 23 years of the stuff to show to McCain in 2008.

Well, of course it's Ryan's plan! Romoney doesn't have a plan, and never did, other than protecting his wealthy cronies and their mutual interests. Ryan cemented Romney's loss with this plan.

Here's what Ron Wyden has to say about the budget proposal he supposedly co-wrote with Paul Ryan.

"Gov. Romney is talking nonsense. Bipartisanship requires that you not make up the facts. I did not ‘co-lead a piece of legislation.’ I wrote a policy paper on options for Medicare. Several months after the paper came out I spoke and voted against the Medicare provisions in the Ryan budget. Governor Romney needs to learn you don’t protect seniors by makings things up, and his comments today sure won’t help promote real bipartisanship."

Obamacrat for Romney keeps pushing the same water uphill. The fact is Reagan wouldn't even recognize today's extremist right wing GOP. To bring on Rob-me and Ryan for job growth is like shooting a gasoline spray on a fire--it will only make things worse. The right wing GOP has been blocking all of Obama's jobs creation plans--in particular his INFRASTRUCTURE plan which would create millions of jobs, and consumer demand, which would, in turn, lead to even more jobs. The right GOP plan is to cut tax rates for the rich which we KNOW doesn't work--it hasn't worked in 10 years and besides the rich's tax rates are currently at 40 year lows!!! And Rob-me/Ryan want to drastically cut spending which is exactly what you do NOT want to do in a bad recession because it strangles what little economy is left. But the two millionaires don't give DAMN about the common man--they are only interested in the rich. They would be a DISASTER for America and the American People know it........

Democrat and Republican politicans agreed on one thing recently. It was a Bipartisn vote to unanimously postpone dealing with the budget until after the election so they could deal with more pressing matters. Then they went on their scheduled 5 week taxpayer paid vacation. This after the Republicans were ranting about about the mounting trillion dollar deficit. You can easily see what the pressing matter was…vacation and re-elections coming up. Why do we voters fall for this double speak?
Since Reagan, every President and member of Congress has voted to use the surplus Social Security had to pay for other programs such as road building etc. Our elected officials have stolen our tax dollars. Instead of investing the surplus they spent it and borrowed even further. Now folks like Ryan and Romney think we should pay for politicans poor judgement and misuse of our money. They think hacking medicare and social security is the answer. I say we decrease their paychecks and stop paying for these 5 week vacations and eliminate the tax payer paid full pensions. Go get an IRA like the rest of us. That is a good start for repaying those IOU’s they created not us.
Ryan wants to decrease wealthy Americans taxes further. Twelve years of Bushy tax cuts apparently haven’t helped helped so he plans to decrease taxes for those making over $250,000 PERMANENTLY! He made his millions as a Congressman. The same guy that voted himself a pay raise along with the rest of Congress just before the economy dipped. Rich guys aiding rich guys do nothing to help the economy only further their own selfish plans.

You have no idea what you're talking about. Many Republican amendments were adopted into both the Stimulus Bill and the Obamacare bill. Please do some actual research instead of just this blind partisan ranting. The right wing in American is embarrassing.

The question isn't which Ryan Plan does Governor Romney favor. The question is: "does it matter?" And it doesn't. Would you rather have a moderate that believes everything you believe? Well, we don't have one. Would you rather have a my-way-or-the-highway radical liberal that will force whatever he, or she, believes down your throat? (Like Barack Hussein did, who force-fed us his most liberal version of ObamaCare). Or would you rather have Conservatives like Governor Romney and Congressman Ryan who are able to reach across the aisle, address every reasonable person's desires and concerns, and craft a deeply bi-partisan plan on our country's most pressing issues like the Ryan-Wyden Plan on MediCare? As a Reagan-type Democrat, sign me up as a Romney Democrat. Romneycrats, PUMA!
