deedeemao, Yeah, it's kind of weird that someone that tells black people someone is going to put them back in chains isn't speaking in a racist tone. Bidens defenders say he was just using a metaphor. Ok. It's a racist metaphor about slavery. If not, that, then what other kind of metaphor is it? If I used a metaphor while speaking to a group of black people and I used nooses or picking cotton, that would be racist too and leveraging slavery to do so. Isn't that correct?

Oh, no Joe Biden is not a racist. and besides Ryan is a racist, too, because he said, "Unshackled"!

Is Joe Biden smarter than a fifth grader? Very unlikely. Is he a racist? Here's what he once said about Obama:

" I mean, you got the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and CLEAN and a nice-looking guy. I mean, that’s a storybook, man."

If you'd been following any of the tactics of the Republican right from the time Obama declared his candidacy, you would know their tactics have centered around divisive and hateful smear and fear tactics - and this has gone on now for years.

For the Republicans to accuse the Democrats is laughable beyond belief. And Romney's statements are just another example of what a shallow, phony piece of work he is.

Where are the tax returns Romney? It was good enough for your dad who set the standard of 12 years of returns. Why isn't it good enough the little snot.

the dems are no longer the party of clinton or FDR anymore...they have turned into the party of hate and divison. they had their chance to rule with the control of the executive branch the house and the senate...they proved once again they couldnt handle it. the president has accomplished nothing and hope and change was a lie. the only thing left is to divide the country. biden ought to be fired by obama and shame on both of them for trying to turn this country against itself.

In response to "Perplexed":

What about Romney's false statements about Welfare Reform?

Fact checkers at several news organizations have already gone over this with a fine-toothed comb, and here is what they found:

This summer President Obama authorized Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sibelius to allow states to acquire waivers for the so-called "Welfare to Work" program. The waivers would only be granted to states that request them, and states would have to show that more people would be employed by an alternate approach than under current federal guidelines. The limit on the amount of time people could spend on welfare without working or looking for a job wouldn't change.

You'd think giving states more power to craft their own welfare-to-work programs would be applauded by GOP leaders who say the federal government already has too much power in local affairs. And you think the party would support a change that was made expressly at request of the two GOP governors from Utah and Nevada. In fact, Mr. Romney himself sought a similar waiver when he was governor of Massachusetts.

Mr. Romney is showing he will do anything to win, no matter how dishonorable or dishonest it may seem in light of his own past positions, and unfortunately that appears to include playing the race card to the hilt, when in fact, the vast majority of welfare recipients are caucasion.

The ONLY campiagn that I know that uses racist rhetoric is the obama campaign. Race is obviously an obama tactic to win the election. He employs it at every opportunity to ensure that 95+% of the black voters support him as they did in 2008. It is interesting that no one in the MSM have pointed out this. Imagine if 95% of the white electorate supported the white candidate in an election that had a white pitted against a black? What do you think that the MSM would be saying?
