After having been a registered Republican for over 40 years, I cannot and will not support Mitt Romney, whom I consider to be an opportunistic corporate raider and exploiter, to be the POTUS. Mitt Romney is a "token 'front man' for the oligarchistic 1%'ers.

If he cannot stand up public scrutiny of his tax returns for at least a decade or his (sic. questionable) business dealings, only a fool would vote for him based on "blind faith". Personal;ly, I'll vote for Ron Paul (write-in vote) before I will vote for Romney or Obama. My vote is the ONLY "power" that I can exeercise; and I'll be damn if I will give my vote to Romney or Obama. If a lot of other Americans had the courage to do that, it might shake up our political system.

The GOP's persistent compaigning against the current state of the economy is laughable. They're the ones who primarily caused the crash of 2008, and their "debt-only" focus has resulted in prolonging the present high levels of unemployment. Remember that the national debt was $6T at the beginning of the last GOP regime & $11T at the end of it - with 2 wars and an economy in near-collapse! Our current President has indeed added $5T of additional debt, but that's what it costs to clean up the total disaster from the last bout of GOP "leadership". We will never forget. Obama - Biden 2012

Where are Lincoln's transcripts, or Washington's Birth Certificate?
Obama graduated from Columbia. The bottom of its class would be in the top 10% of most colleges. He was selected for the Harvard Law Review, based on his grades there. (Mr. Romney was not.)

Obama has done a good job as President. (The reason most of us all voted for a black man with a Moslem last name and a thin resume, is because we were terrified that, in Ben Bernanke's words, "This was going to be worse than 1933.".)
It wasn't, because of the Stimulus and the GM/Chrysler Bailout. Business saw there was going to be a bottom, after all.

The problem is that the Bush Tax Cuts, his "War of Choice" and the unfunded Medicare Drug Program, have made us a poorer country than we were in 2000.
Nothing we cannot work our way out of, but everyone who is making a good living has to pay a little more. The jobs of the mortgage brokers who wrote the applications for Liar Loans, and the Wall Street Wizards who bundled them together and got them rated AAA, will not come back--I hope.
Unless we elect the person who was pushing to give your Social Security money to the Brokers in 2004-5. (You know who you are, Rep. Ryan.)

Obama has tried to govern from the Middle, but the GOP is campaigning on never compromising, on anything. Last year's Debt Limit debacle showed that the Tea Party would rather have a white President, than a solvent, prosperous USA.

Former-Governor Romney spends much of his time running against his own former principles.

Who are you going to trust to fix and tweak Medicare and Social Security--Obama or Romney and Rep. Ryan?

Romney needs to review on his own ad about Welfare as it is an insult to the middle class. Exact words in the ad, " Romey's Plan for the Middle Class puts work back into welfare." Has anyone else caught this?? This is is an outrageous ad for middle class Americans. Also, why are you wasting so much money on this type of ad--who cares about this!! Not the middle class. There is nothing appealing about this ad and incorrect!! Get rid of it or I will point out the wording on every public forum!!

Please release those tax returns, Mr. Romney. Then we can perhaps move on to other issues. I want to see what you are so reluctant to reveal about your financial life.

More finger pointing from this President but a dearth of solutions of his own.

While he continues to criticize spending in the previous administration, the biggest irony is that the spending has actually accelerated much beyond anything that existed previously on his watch.

Direct program spending has risen substantially to the tune of tens, if not hundreds of billions, in practically every federal department as well as substantial increases in the size and scope of government.

The biggest threat to social security and medicare is unsustainable government growth and a persistently weak economy.

If government takes more for itself, there is less money for the things that ordinary people care about.

That's why growing government is actually the greatest threat to social security and medicare.

Why don't Republicans just defend Romney's refusal to reveal his tax returns? I never hear a defense. I

The President has released 12 years of tax returns.

If you want college transcripts too, which by the way has never been asked of Presidential candidates, then demand them of both candidates.

Romney has not earned America's trust. He could start by releasing ten years of tax returns.

Blind faith is no way to elect a President of the greatest nation on Earth.
