Maria, Romney did not say he was against choice in the case of rape–That was just something that was put on the platform. Still, it will never be changed–at least not in our lifetime. So, why would you go with someone who is destroying our economy and lowering everyone’s standard of living by voting for another term of Obama?

Dave, that is not exactly true. He didn’t say that he believes a corporation is a person, as in a living human being, per se. However, in truth, a corporation IS considered a “person” under the law and has many of the rights and responsibilities that a natural person has. Read up on the definition of “corporation” and its history. Even the word “corporation” derives from corpus, the Latin word for body, or a “body of people.” Corporations can exercise human rights against real individuals and the state, and they can themselves be responsible for human rights violations. Corporations can even be convicted of criminal offenses, such as fraud and manslaughter. However corporations are not considered living entities in the way that humans are.

Do you know what you are talking about? Of course Sonia Sotomayor was qualified for the position… that was why she was nominated to the post. But to Romney she was not qualified because she should be agaisnt women rights to choose NOT to keep a prenancy that was conceived by a rapist. Like if his wife was pregnant for a rapist he would force her to carry that baby for 9 long months and to go to all the pain and suffering while delivering that baby. I am and independant and my vote is for Obama.

Hispanics take it very seriously, how others Hispanics are treated. They do in fact, want Hispanics to be in positions of power more than anything. They spoke out against Ryan over Rubio, They speak out about what they feel is injustice towards them, & they will feel very strongly that Romney is treating her unfairly only because she is Hispanic. I’m not saying it is right, I am just saying that they do in fact do it. Your comment says that Hispanics aren’t that base. I believe that all so called minorities (I believe that we are equal & there should never be people calling any American a minority, we hold these truths to be self evident) want to cheer for their teams, whom ever they may be.

Most people on the right opposed her because they assumed that anyone appointed by Obama was a bad choice, & so they make up lies like Romney did here. There was nothing pointing to he being on one side or another as she was being nominated. Anyone who calls her an activist does so out of partisan bias, not her record. She was opposed not because she was hispanic, but because she was nominated by uberliberal Obama, & the right felt that that was all of the proof they needed. Just like they still do. She is the evil, the bad, not Hispanic, but the Obama appointee is all. It’s a game, & the teams usually try to stick together. Unless you’re Romney, & then anyone & everyone goes under the bus. : )~

Of course she was qualified. Her legal experience begins over 30 years ago in 1979 as an assistant district attorney and progresses impressively from there – basically equivalent to John Roberts.
