There was no “economic collapse.” Pure hyperbole. A government-created credit bubble popped and the stock market crashed, yes, but if an economic collapse truly occurred, the dollar would have collapsed, banks would have closed, interest rates would have skyrocketed, stock trading would have halted, Social Security and welfare payments would have stopped, rioters would have been in the streets, martial law would have been declared, and you’d be hunting for your own food. Google “Argentine economic crisis”. That was a real economic collapse.

In January 2009, the Congressional Budget Office predicted that, absent any stimulus, the recession would end in “the second half of 2009.” The Business Cycle Dating Committee of the National Bureau of Economic Research later determined that the recession officially ended in June 2009 before the stimulus spending really got rolling. Only 15% of the stimulus money had gone out the door at that point. The only thing the stimulus did was add to our national debt. If we had had a true “economic collapse” the recession wouldn’t have ended in June 2009.

Thanks to Obama’s unsustainable debt trajectory, a REAL economic collapse is on its way. When that happens, 2008 will be considered the “good old days.”

Sorry pal, the Titanic hit the iceberg under the last Republican president (economic collapse 2008), not under Obama. Voting another Republican into office would be like backing up and hitting the iceberg again.

Once you take away Medicare as it stands and start splitting it up against other insurance plans, Medicare loses its economies of scale. Imagine how costs will skyrocket with all the pre-existing conditions seniors have to deal with – how much is insurance going to cost when you already have prostate cancer or MS or any of the other multitude of ailments that strike seniors? Romney and Ryan will give them a voucher and leave them at the mercy of the markets to determine what kind of coverage they get. Stupid.

Not true. Under the Ryan-Wyden plan, “Seniors beginning in 2023 would receive payments to buy private health insurance or traditional Medicare.” That’s right, the Ryan-Wyden plan retains traditional Medicare, so if you prefer it, you can still buy it, exactly as it is. The only difference is, if there’s a different plan out there that you like more, you can purchase that in lieu of Medicare. Right now, you’re stuck with Medicare, whether you like it or not. Kind of like public school; use it or lose it, even if you loathe it.

“We strengthened Medicare.”

Under ObamaCare, which took $716 billion out of MediCare, Medicare goes bankrupt within a dozen years, 2024. “Guarantee” of Medicare? The only guarantee of MediCare, Barack Hussein, is under ObamaCare, it won’t be there, when you need it!

“One report just said…”

If by “one report” you meant, “OUR report!” Because that is exactly what the Center for American Progress (CAP) is! It’s a PROGRESSIVE, keyword, “progressive,” think-tank, that actually writes the laws that they have Democrats approve, vote for in the United States Congress! Quoting them as fact, you might as well quote like Bill Clinton and call that independent.

I used to support President Barack Hussein Obama, I really did, but with all due respect, sincerely, it is time we had a President who doesn’t lie. It is time for Romney/Ryan 2012: Restoring Prosperity in America Again… Together. PUMA!
