FOREST PARK, Ohio - Republican vice presidential nominee Paul Ryan, an avid hunter and outdoorsman, is preparing for some father-daughter bonding later this fall.

Ryan, who is in the midst of a bus tour through Ohio, shopped at Outdoor World with his brother Tobin for about 15 minutes and bought his 10-year-old daughter, Liza, camouflage clothing. He told reporters he plans to take her deer hunting this fall in Wisconsin and Oklahoma, where his wife's family resides.

"She's going to get to go hunting this year for the first time," Ryan said. "She's 10 years old, so she can hunt starting at 10.

"She's been getting ready, she's been practicing," he saud. "I just need to get her some clothes."

Ryan paid $101.14 in cash for camouflage gloves and a jacket.

He said his daughter has watched him hunt for years, and he'd already bought her a Remington 700 .243 junior model rifle last Christmas.

Ryan spent the morning campaigning in nearby Cincinnati and will make a joint appearance with Mitt Romney at a rally in Dayton this afternoon.
