Call me a headline reader if you will--but the glare of prevarication and sleazy election opportunism of the title alone was simply too much to read beyond, even with my shades.

In reality, the Obama administration has only given the appearance of helping struggling homeowners and actually made it harder to get any kind of assistance.

....and while not a lie 'On the same day President Obama spoke of religious freedom at United Nations, his Justice Department acted to deny that freedom to small business owners' shows more of him saying 1 thing while someone in his admin does something completely opposite. And since the DOJ has Obama's blessing ....

btw, is the President doesn’t know anything or is he lying?

Well, it started with a couple of weeks of Obama taking office. He had promised he wouldn't raise taxes "one penny" on those making less than $250K; but, about 2 weeks into his term he raise tobacco taxes over 2200%! Two thousand two hundred percent increase in the tobacco tax. So that makes "I will not raise taxes ...250K" a lie.

"Anybody who blames the housing bubble on low income borrowers definitely doesn’t know anything about the housing market, or does but is lying, which is more likely.
For instance many sub-prime mortgages were for second homes….did low income borrowers buy them? LOL!" - The Liberal Vamp

Well then why do we need the action from Congress that the President is calling for?
I'm with you, I say let them second home buyers pound sand.

Was it not the community organizer and his supporter in Chicago, who disrupted bank board meetings, threaten members and their families if they do not approve the loans for people who could not afford the houses. Right now in Cali if you have not paid your mortgage for the past 6 month the government will make your payments for 5 years or more, or untill you have exhausted $100000 dollars. thank you President Obama.

The Obama administration has neglected to perform any serious oversight of the mortgage industry and some its more egregious, abusive practices. Homeowners have little recourse to practices from entities such as Bank of America that should be illegal. LIttle is offered beyond words and verbiage that have been showcased for the election season as we see here, propped up by largely symbolic agencies like the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.

The mortgage companies who were bailed out 4 years ago are among those with the least impunity. Any significantly increased consumer protection activity and oversight of the financial industries is actually occurring in a parallel universe.

What in the world has the Obama administration actually done to help struggling homeowners against some highly predatory practices that I'd say are likely concentrated with the corporate welfare recipients of TARP?

"Instead of worrying about you, they’d already gone home to worry about their campaigns."
Wow! Now that's the pot calling the kettle black.

There are plenty of other investors who are more than happy to take their place. Posted by: vampire mitt | September 29, 2012, 6:03 pm ---------------------------------- ---------------------------- ------- -------- --------- That is why the price of gold has been rising and other hard assets! The American dollar is being devalued as a result of QE1, QE2 and QE3. If Obama is reelected the dollar will be used as toilet paper!

The definition of a fanatic: One- when faced with absolute fact- refuses to adjust faulty thinking. Presidents don't pass legislation - they only sign it or get overridden. The last two years of Bush II had a Democratic Congress with a veto proof majority. The Chosen one had the same majority and frittered away his chance due to vanity and inexperience- That Intellectual leader of the House- Pelosi - ran him like a lab rat.
Reagan ran the country into the ground? He inherited the misery index of Jimmah Carter - and fixed it in three years. Incontrovertible face: Republicans create business and defend the country - Democrats tax and redistribute the wealth created by Republicans. Republicans can get along fine without Democrats - the reverse is not true. Look only at the health of Republican Governor states.
Drink deep of the koolade.
