Racism is alive and well in America, as again evidenced by too many of the preceding comments. Holey moley! There is no evidence that Elizabeth Warren ever took advantage of anything or anyone by claiming American Indian ancestry. Zero evidence, as in “none.” Nor is there a record of her boasting of her ancestry, though there has been positive research on the topic. However, there is evidence that Elizabeth Warren probably has a much higher IQ and a more impressive academic history than the vast majority of the slur-slingers here. What unabashed ugliness, but “surprised” went out the window long ago.

I believe in Affirmative Action. And that is why I despise Elizabeth Warren so. She took advantage of a program that exists to help people who were victims of genocide segregation and extreme poverty. She lied and totally disrespected the actual Cherokee Nation. Also just about everyone who makes false claims of Indian ancestry says they are Cherokee, it just makes it more transparent. She may in fact be some tiny percentage native, I am I think a lot of people are, but she doesn’t even really know what tribe or have any real connection to it. It would be one thing if she only did this when she was young and now felt embarrassed about it, but she keeps on with it despite being a 63 year old national political figure. Thats just stupid. And then she tried to say voting for Scott Brown is voting for rape because somewhere 2000 miles away some moron whos never held office is running as a Republican and made an offensive comment (Tod Aikin) a comment Scott Brown denounced, hes a “pro-choice” Republican anyway. I happen to be a Democrat but don’t lump me in with Warren’s crap I’ve never even met her, shes a disgrace and even though I am sure I agree with her more than Scott Brown on stuff like tax policy I don’t know if I could bring myself to vote for her.

Truly amazing if that is all he can go against her with. Frankly, I recall other news media doing research and finding that she DID have Native American ancestry to a couple of tribes – I believe it was the Cherokee and the Delaware tribes. Of course, these records are probably old and hand-written back when census takers wrote what they were told. This is likely what she goes on with her background. Now, if Scott Brown could be anything more than a former Male model lap-dog of Wall Street ……

When this ugliness first showed up months ago, few except the Right Wing thought it was worth reading about. Now the story pops up again in the campaign debates.

It’s clear that Republicans are freaked. Elizabeth Warren actually could get elected. That means one less Republican to hold things up in Congress, and worse, someone who fights for bank regulations.

Still, I just could not figure the viciousness, the indignation. Then it dawned on me. This links to another Right Wing zombie lie: President Obama got to where he is today solely because of “Affirmative Action”. That is why they continue the weird comments about his use of a teleprompter and demand to see Harvard grades. The idea is to suggest that this President was an inferior student, promoted without valid cause.

All it takes is a glimmer of “Affirmation Action” – even it never came into play for Elizabeth Warren’s job – and the Right Wing sees another conspiracy theory unfolding. Yet they fight like tigers to defend Mitt Romney’s concealed tax returns.

Every time I read another nasty comment about Warren’s heritage, it shines a spotlight on just how far the Republican Party has fallen. “Squaw”?

Catherine, They Cherokee asked her to discuss her need to believe she is one of them and she snubbed them. The Cherokee have reported that Warren is not part of their nation and have decided they don’t like her lying about it either, especially after blowing them and their nation off for the sake of hypocrisy.

jamescbuilder, Actually, Since she is not a Cherokee, but merely a wanna be Village Person costume Indian it doesn’t provide her from prosecution for illegally practicing law without a license in Massachusetts. She’ll be heading to court to fend off her many illegal activities pretending to be a licensed lawyer in that state.

I get the feeling she has no regard for honesty at all. At least when it comes to her activities and maginations.

What some of warrens defenders fail to grasp is tht she used the idea that she was indian to get ahead and get special treatment. Even in her own mind she was 1/32 american indian which legally means that she is not. But that and the other facts mean noithing to her and her blind supporters.
