Mytake, to avoid line and overwhelming the voting booths-----------less people voting on election day, means it is easier to watch for fraudulent voting (a common thing with Obama's supporters.)

Obamacare HAS NOT reduced premium costs. They have risen. obama said they would not. You know nothing about Medicare Advantage. obama lied when he said he took nothing from Medicare. Medicare Advantage is a part of medicare and it is NO longer desireable.

Deanbob, but the big difference in Rhode Island's voter i.d. law is it is more lenient this first election with it. A bank statement, any kind of government i.d. is allowed. Only in 2014 is a photo i.d. mandatory.
This is how every state should have implemented it.

Perplexed, what did I say that wasn't true?
President Obama did not take money from Medicare to pay for anything but Medicare benefits. Now seniors get free annual exams, more savings on their prescription bill and 8 years have been added to the solvency of Medicare. That money was only taken from hospital payments, to which the hospitals agreed because they won't have to cover so many uninsured patients any more because of the Affordable Care Act. So now payments are limited so the insurance companies aren't ripping us off.
No benefits to seniors were reduced, they were increased. Unless you were profiting from those private insurance companies ripping us off, why are you complaining?
Medicare Advantage was a rip off. It was supposed to drive down costs by paying private insurance to cover seniors but instead it was costing 117% of regular fee for service.
Should we continue something that is ripping us off?

Romney is a 65 year old man who's opinions haven't "Evolved" since he was an 18 year old bully -beating up weaker kids and cutting off their hair in college. Romney's opinions certainly haven't changed in the last two months - there is nothing more to see or hear.

Jane: Your post that says "The 4 people who were murdered in benghazi were thrown under the bus by the Obama administration!" When career foreign service personnel [under ANY administration] are killed in the performance of their duty being "thrown under the bus" absent the conditions, time and place of service which then would generate your remark is disgraceful. In the name of political ambition disrespect is not called for.

The RNC has terminated its multi-million contract with voter supression consultants operating in Florida and other states and a young lady who said in Colorado she was registering only voters who would be voting for Romney was quite evasive about who was paying her salary and completely ignorant of non-partisan voter registration law - this has raised more than a few eyebrows especially since the RNC's contract included that state as well. Sproul & Associates, Lincoln Strategy, and Strategic Allied Consultants -- had previously worked for RNC voter registration efforts during the campaigns of George W. Bush and John McCain. Dirty politics is not new to American "Democracy" - but this election cycle has hit an all time high in out-right lying. At the core is money - in this nation money has become power and when that money buys power to violate law and YOUR right to a free and honest election there is real trouble here in River City. Why would we ask our young men and women to lay down their lives to insure free and democratic elections in foreign nations when we are falling short of that here at home?

"It’s time to get real and realize what Mitt/Ryan stands for."

I have pretty good idea what they stand for already. And Obama? He stands for absolute failure, and blatant and persistent dishonesty.

Unless you plan to be out of your voting district in November, I don't get the point of early voting. Even if your mind is made up now it decides nothing any sooner and if convenience is an issue you can vote by mail.
