For those of you who supports gun control, wake up and get your head out of your behind. Do your research and get concrete fact, then open your mouth. In states such as NY, CA and DC (though DC is not a state), these places have one of the strictest gun control law, and yet, they also have the highest home invasion, murder and assault cases than anywhere else in the country. Hmmm, if stricter gun control law works so well, then why such high crime rate. States like TX where just about everyone own at least a gun or two and most know how to use them, they also have the lowest crime rate. Why? Most criminals are not going to be so stupid to go after a home or someone knowing full well that they could get themselves kill. They rather go after those who are unarmed and have no mean of protecting themselves. Guns are no different from things such as kitchen knives, pocket knives, bow and arrows, and even a wooden staff don’t kill. By banning guns, are you going to ban kitchen knives and wooden staff as well? My 7 year old daughter, who is extremely good at wielding her wooden staff because of her martial arts training, can seriously injured and potentially kill someone with it if she is not careful and be mindful of her environment when practicing. My point is that any object, a rock or common household utensils can be used to kill. If you’re going to ban one thing, you might as well ban everything else because that is how absurd gun control law is. I own fire arms, not so I can threaten my neighbors or have the intent to kill anyone. I own them so that I can protect myself and my family when we’re home or when we’re away. I use my guns as a deterrent, to make the would be robbers, rapist, gangs think twice before they decide to harm me or my family. It’s as simple as that. I have no desire or wish to ever bring harm to anyone, but it is good to know that I have the mean to defend and protect when I need them, then not to have when I need them.

For hunting, single shot rifles are ok, single shot pistols too…. anything else should be banned.. Most of the weapons the NRA allows are designed for military war… Come on you tea pots, do you really need an AK47 to go hunting?

Our Constitution was written when guns were not even rifled!!!!

Most of the weapons for sale these days are designed to kill humans, many humans… You NRA people are insane.

Ban anything other than single shot guns and pistols as our founding fathers intended…

TNFERRETI, there are already over 20,000 Federal, State, County, Municipal, and City firearms laws on the books.
What is “common sense” gun laws?
Has it occurred to you that criminal by definition don’t obey gun laws…or any laws for that matter?

Finally, how many crimes are reported where an AK-47 was used only to find out later such was not the case.
It’s very rare when a crime is committed with a full-auto.

Frank DeRoin – define “assault weapon” let me ask you this what is more dangerous – a semi auto AK 47 in the hands of untrained moron or a machete in the hand of trained professional ? Its not the tools its the perpetrator – I fear teens driving while texting far more then I do “assault weapons”. I bet Wolkswagen Bettle in your hands is an “assault weapon” – people have been killed with those. has anyone complied statistics as to how many killed in wreckless driving vs. “assault weapons”. The feel good term “assault weapons” has been coined to deflect the real issues at hand.

The issue at hand are not the tools such as guns, knifes etc… but the degenerate culture that we cultivate. The movies Hollywood spews are full of violence not to forget the “thug” image perpetuated by rap music. How about the online games – full of violence again.
