I love how liberals dismiss anything said by a Democrat more than 20 minutes ago as old news and irrelevant. But the fact that Romney once didn't wash his hands before dinner while in pre-school....well obviously that means he's unfit to be president.

Actually he was right back then and it just shows how far different the Democratic party is now from what it was decades ago. There is really no such thing as a conservative Democrat now and moderates are few and far between.

Texasbil - Term limits does NOTHING to fix the problems of Washington DC. All it does is give the "behind the scenes power brokers" even MORE control. They'd be so entrenched that the new crop of Congress would not know how to deal with them. Also, the "old guard" would just pick the "new guard" and help them get elected. Unfortunately, it is very naive to think that term limits will fix anything.

That is why we need term limits so we can remove these people from holding office for 30 years. No one should be allowed to stay in the Senate or any other part of the government for that long.

Noz and people like Noz still don't grasp the real significance of what Biden was proposing. Noz falls back to the Democrat talking points we have heard for decades that the deficit was Reagan's fault. As Joe made clear, and what at least some people understand, the deficit is a function of Congress, not the Executive branch. It is up to Congress to control spending. The best the President can do is veto legislation due to spending. But even then, constitutionally it is still up to Congress to sustain or override the veto.

Just look at what Obama whined about all the time. As President he says he inherited a trillion dollar deficit when he entered the White House. But from whom? Bush? No way. Bush was President and as such could not appropriate a single dime. So where did the deficit come from? The spending bill passed in Congress for the 2008-2009 fiscal year. And who controlled Congress and the budget? The Democrats - they held both The House and The Senate. So what we have is President Obama "inheriting" the trillion dollar deficit Senator Obama helped craft in legislation and then pass, including voting to override Bush vetoes in 2008 such as the huge farm bill Bush vetoed and Congress overrode.

What all of you fail to realize is, Joe Biden did not write that speech. Someone else did and he plagiarized it. So, you see, it can't be his fault. In fact, it's Bush's fault.

Well, "BFD" Biden didn't get his way in 1984, but it WAS Reagan that raised the age for full S.S. bennies grandfathered in to age 67. Then again, fully 3/4 of S.S. beneficiaries take bennies at age 62, so it may be a moot point. (Took mine @ 65 ) Expect whomever gets elected to start talking about raising the age for PARTIAL bennies above age 62.

P.S. Yes, as a retired nurse I have started watching Biden to see if any signs of dementia are beginning after some of his outrageous comments. Then again, politicians can say ANYTHING today & it isn't taken as out of the ordinary.
