I agree with the statement of Mr. Plouffe. I know many in Ohio who are tired of these tactics of Republicans. Mr. Romney may have been a good businessman but the country doesn't run like a business. It involves a lot more people and their livelihood.

Mr. Romney is not even contesting in the state he ran. He abandoned Michigan, Massachusetts, and his own beliefs he once held. If the trend continues, he will run this great country down. Only thing he is selling are the failed and outdated policies of the Republican Party. We should never go back to them. Move forward with Obama.

VAMPIRE MITT: Just go cash all your government checks because your comments are so out of line and clueless. You certainly do not have a business, my guess is you work for the government, union or just don't work at all at let others pay your way.

Mitt's alternative to anyone under 55 is to offer you a nifty voucher that is capped, and can't possibly keep up with rate increases.....so your benefits automatically go down. You're going to just love them!

"Romney said that regulations and the rate of regulations quadrupled under Obama. He was basing that on the Heritage study, but he did not include important caveats about how the study was conducted.

And more importantly, the actual data on regulations show Obama's rate of regulations is no different from the past 18 years."-------Politifact

Sorry, the giant increase in regulations is just another right-wing myth of course.

Just like the phony ‘death panel’ lie...

Posted by: Librarian53 | October 25, 2012, 7:30 am 7:30 am

It wasn't phony at all. It's real.

Obamacare, written by Democrats, contains a death panel. It's called the Independent Payment Advisory Board (IPAB). It's a rationing board. It consists of 15 unelected, unaccountable bureaucrats. The purpose of the committee is to decide how much or how little Medicare will pay doctors for medical treatment. You can't reduce payments to doctors and reduce the frequency of diagnostic procedures and expect no changes to coverage or quality. Experienced doctors and nurses don't work for free and many diagnostic procedures are life-saving. IPAB's goal is cost containment, which is rationing by another name.

Beginning January 15, 2014 and every year thereafter, the law requires the board to submit specific recommendations to the President and Congress to “slow the growth” in national health expenditures. However, decisions by the panel are not simply recommendations to Congress; if the Senate, the House, and the president do not concur on an alternative proposal, or if Congress does not act at all, the HHS Secretary is required to implement the board’s recommendations. The Secretary’s actions are immune from any administrative modification, presidential veto, or judicial review. As of August 15, 2014, if the IPAB does not submit such recommendations and Congress does not enact its own Medicare payment restrictions, the Secretary of HHS, an unelected official, is authorized to make and implement them unilaterally, i.e. without any other approval.

It is estimated that by 2019, Medicare cuts under the Obama law will be so severe that payments will become even lower than Medicaid, a system by which almost one half of doctors already refuse to accept new patients.

House Republicans voted to repeal IPAB this past March. The Senate, led by Democrats, refuses to bring up the repeal bill for a vote. The death panel is still in place.

When you're denied healthcare due to the upcoming rationing, make sure to profusely thank Democrats for making it all possible. After all, you voted for them.

I find it interesting that the Democrats are calling Romney dishonest. President Obama has done nothing but lie, shrug, and blame.

Marxists and Communists have a long history of using projection, propaganda, character assasination, division, and polarization to fool the masses. Today's Democrats have perfected those techniques with the mainstream media often assisting them.

there has been no significant increase in regulations.

Lie!!

Over the past three years, the bound edition of the Code of Federal Regulations has increased by 11,327 pages – a 7.4 percent increase from Jan. 1, 2009 to Dec. 31, 2011. In 2009, the increase in the number of pages was the most over the last decade – 3.4 percent or 5,359 pages.
Over the past decade, the federal government has issued almost 38,000 new final rules, according to the draft of the 2011 annual report to Congress on federal regulations by the Office of Management and Budget. That brought the total at the end of 2011 to 169,301 pages.
That is more than double the number of pages needed to publish the regulations back in 1975 when the bound edition consisted of 71,244 pages.
