Jim Brown - Do you not pay attention?? Bain Capital saved THOUSANDS of jobs. Do you not listen to the Republican commercials and the people who worked for companies Bain saved?? Or do you ONLY listen to your divisive, stubborn, not-willing-to-work-with-congress-unless he gets what he wants, president? Romney will be a GREAT president. He will work with congress (proven in Mass.) he will not insist on "his way or the highway", and he will cut programs that are wasting our hard earned money instead of throwing billions away on Solandra, etc!!! Can't wait for November!!!

The next debate should be THE game changer. I'm afraid that after all the criticism he has endured for his underperformance in the first debate that President Obama will come out swinging this time and argue the issues so aggressively that he will be criticized afterward for being hyper and rude, almost a Bill O'Reilly. .....That can't be good...... The President is in a tight spot.

I fear the day corporations take complete control of the US government; however, we saw CLEARLY in the last few years that Obama is not an engaged leader. We were offered two lousy choices and consequently, our choice will be lousy.

Romney’s company would buy companies that were going under, and try to save them.
Posted by: Larry | October 5, 2012, 7:32 am 7:32 am

What most voters don't know is the way Mitt Romney actually made his fortune: by borrowing vast sums of money that other people were forced to pay back.

Romney makes a $250 million fortune loading up companies with debt and then extracting million-dollar fees from those same companies, in exchange for the generous service of telling them who needs to be fired in order to finance the debt payments he saddled them with in the first place.

Just search "hostile takeovers Bain Capital" to get a better idea of Romney's "parasitic capitalism".

For all of us who have paid some or a lot of attention to what has gone on obver the last 2 years the answer is no. No way. If you are an intelligent, eductated voter you will know the difference between these two ideologies and WHO and WHAT they represent. The point is the fundamentals didn't and haven't changed. And unfortunately the Presiden'ts advisers probably know that betterthan anyone and they told him too many times to not 'upset the applecart;. To me the debates are as 'superficial and shallow' as TOO MUCH of the voting electorate. IT'S NOT ABOUT EMOTION....LOL...Romney got up there and totally flip flopped his stance on all his 'right wing stances and admonitions' that hes has been making for two yearsI wish the President had called hin on it.

George, there are a few good reporters out there, but there are too many reporters that will repeat what they hear from other reporters instead of doing their homework.

Romney won the debate by out Blabbing Obama and the moderator and
In hindsight Obama had the correct strategy of let Romney talk and take over the conversation with him and he also took over the moderator, it could not follow It has been said give a man enough rope and he let will hang himself, and other terms are putting him on the stand and let him sing in this case by self identifying who he is and confirm his thinking. by Obama allowing him to stay out in the open unprotected, in football terms this is called out running your blockers

By letting Mitt Romney talk he confirmed that his plan was in complete by fact check and therefore it is true what Obama has been saying he proved he does not have a plan

By fact check blabbing Mitt has contradicted himself in every direction or his plans were termed to be incomplete and were not telling the truth again Obama was correct Mitt Romney does not have a plan

We are much better off than we were four years ago jobs or up, housing market is up, the stock market is up, proves things are getting better every day proves Obama has a plan

The media has over analyzed Obama's strategy of letting Mitt talk and over of evaluated this by thinking negative instead of positive and determining as Obama being flat, non-responsive, non-interested and not into the debate but yet proven by fact check that Mitts statements are contradictory, incorrect and his statements are flip flopping.
The media is now repeating what the opposition party is saying that the job rate has been fixed by the Democrats, now how many times are they going to get it wrong.

Tired of the politics? Well...yeah! ok, if you live in a battleground state, you should be weary. If so, you should think about voting early. Here is why I think a straight D ticket is worth your consideration.

Republican political theory is pretty straight forward and it simply states that if you are a have not, you deserve you fate and should stop trying to better yourself and the conditions of your family. That is the definition of the 47%. As far as Mitt Romney is concerned, you are a LOSER, and you do not count. If he is elected, you will get no consideration from him on any matters of your concern.

The Democrats offer a different perspective, but it is rather stark too. If you want to do better and you are willing to pay the price. The key here is that the opportunity will be made available, but at a rather higher threshold. The mechanisms for affirmative action have been for the most part removed and you must compete with people and persons who have some latent social-economic advantages. Not recognizing those facts can be detrimental to your financial and economic well being, so you must do that first. Next, you may want to get an education to make yourself a more competitive and productive person; but you must consider the cost of that education relative to the ROI on yourself. It isn't the just a matter of income that you may command in a few years; it is the factors surrounding the requirements of the employment generating that income that you must understand.

Voting the straight D ticket addresses the above considerations in terms of the recent history of the United States of America. Republicans have put wars and tax cuts for the wealthy at the top of their agenda for the past twelve years. Although they can pass a significant part of the blame for the failure of the government to Democrats, they cannot deny that Obama was the guy who just told them NO in 2010. For this, they have determined to punish him by denying the whole nation any progress as long as he is in office. Now it's your turn to do some denying. Vote the Straight D ticket in 2012 and sort it out in 2014.

Mitt Romney has committed Tax Fraud since 2003 The Jobs and Growth Reconciliation Act of 2003
Is not only a Bush Tax Cut but a law that Mitt Romney violated thus Mitt Romney committed Tax Fraud and Tax Evasion along with many other millionaires and billionaires that have violated this same law that designed implied intent was job creation. Mitt Romney 2010 tax return proves that he only made a company to hire himself that doesn't count. He never intended to create jobs that's the Corrupt Republicans in Congress intent; a secret weapon that keeps taking from every America except the Corrupt Americans who violated the laws.
