I need to know from president Obama if he really wants to win the election or was this poor performance deliberate so he can loose. I did not see any attempt from him to win this debate. It looked like he just said "hell with it, and I don't care anymore". He showed arrogance to his followers by not even trying. I really don't think he wants this job anymore. I was very disappointed in his lack of any enthusiasm, because I know he could have done better if he really wanted to. and he did not want to. The main question (DO HE REALLY WANT TO STAY AS PRESIDENT).

Can't believe how brutal some of you are.

"When will you Obama Supporters see through his lies"

That's funny - same thing I've thought about GOP supporters - wondering how you can fall for some of the things your party & candidates say (death panels as an example). For me, I feel like I can see right through Mitt Romney - he constantly flip-flops & will say anything to win. Hope Bain Capital never buys the company you work for...

Ted,

Can't go anywhere with facts in our discussion, so the best you have is to grab your pom pons and cheerlead on someone else's post that wasn't even addressed to me. Dems had 60 votes to invoke cloture for months. They didn't all have a D by the name (that was never the point), since you are being pedantic about it, but they clearly had the votes. The existence of Obamacare proves that point. That's why it was pushed when it was the way it was.

For the record, you (and Susan for that matter since you jumped into her fray) don't have to make your point by being "that way". However, you do and when you do it says a lot more about how you are than anything you could ever write about me.

Romney for instance directly lied that pre-existing conditions are covered under his health care plan. He has no coverage for pre-exisiting conditions under his plan.

'Obama should challenge Romney'

Was Romney's 'Birther" joke not a joke at all but a threat? Let me explain. Both Romney and Ryan have already stated they believe Obama was born a US Citizen in Hawaii. But 73% of their base does not, according to a recent MIT poll. In other words: this is a very big deal.

If Obama simply allows public access to his entire Hawaiian natal records*, in exchange for Romney allowing public access to the last eight years of his federal tax returns, instead of a summary, all that would happen is that the voters will be far better informed, while allowing all Americans to unite around the next President, whomever it may be -- which, one would think, would be reason enough for Obama to make just such a proposal -- if he can.

If Obama isn't legit, or has something to hide that would preclude his taking the oath of office from such an exposure, he will never offer the deal in the first place. But if Obama does offer just such a deal, and if Romney refuses it, it would be seen by many of his supporters as a failure of leadership to preserve and protect the Constitution.

"It appears that all right wing wackos posting here are already aware that Obama was playing rope the dope with Romney and are already tossing out conspiracy theories (he’ll get the questions ahead of time at next debate

The only dope that got roped was obama.

He was clueless without a teleprompter.

That's a lie. The President was subdued and direct but stated his positions very clearly. The only thing he had a problem with was Romney chirping and lying and reversing his positions about almost everything.

Romney for instance directly lied that pre-existing conditions are covered under his health care plan. He has no coverage for pre-exisiting conditions under his plan.
