No thanks Alicia Keys. I don't believe in backing people who feel entitled to handouts. Votes along with food stamps are handed out way too easily. I do not believe in helping people who refuse to help themselves. I'm so sick of losing my voice just to not step on anyones toes. My toes get stepped on all the time. I don't want more government. More government is like an overbearing parent trying to tell me I have a curfew at 10 as an adult. I want to be free. I don't want to be punished for another mans lack of integrity or personal responsibility. I don't feel sorry for the garbage man who says he picks up Romney's trash and doesn't get a hug or a thank you or a refreshment. Get real. When I hear the city picking up my trash I think of just that. The city is doing its job. That's why we pay taxes. I shouldn't have to run out there and give any garbage man a hug. I'm a waitress and I don't get hugs for scraping plates and taking orders. I don't expect that. I'm doing my job and getting paid for it. The city is paying you good money to do a job. If you feel so mistreated or unhappy-quit. Go get yourself a job where you are paid to get hugs. You know, I look at my mom who is a nurse. God bless her heart. She put herself through school as a single mom. She worked her butt off. Sacrificed day in and day out. I don't ever hear her complaining. She made a choice and it wasn't and isn't easy. I could never see her joining some political campaign about what someone didn't do for her. And let me tell you something. My mother would gladly be Mitt Romney's nurse or anyone's nurse for that matter. She would save your life even if that meant losing hers. So, just like my mom...the garbage man has the freedom of choice. The city pays him well and really has nothing to complain about. He shouldn't be telling people he is Mitt Romney's garbage man. People have a right to privacy. I don't want the city's garbage workers to blab about where I live. We are the city's customers. That garbage man bashed Mitt Romney for what? The right to have his garbage picked up in peace??? I mean the real change is taking and having personal responsibility and accountability. Not handouts. You will get out of life what you put into it knowing that it can always be taken away.-jessica

Romney and Obama can both go drown in in their promises and opinions, but I want some real answers from Romney. Everyone says Romney won the debate, but as much as the president presses my buttons: Obama won that debate solely by emphasizing that he had a plan. I was thoroughly disappointed with ABC. Sensationalism is a dangerous tool and no matter what the facts, the Romney hype pisses me off. Reminds me too much of 08.

I am confused. Romney won the toss, why does the president get the last word. The toss of the coin that Romney will get the last word. THis is really pissing me off. Not that Obama gets to reply but its a typical that rules are being broken.

This is funny. From a speech by Dr. Barbara Bellar Candidate for Illinois State Senate, District 18 sums up Obamacare in one sentence.......

"So let me get this straight. This is a long sentence;

We are going to be gifted with a health care plan that we are forced to purchase, and fined if we don't, which reportedly covers 10 million more people without adding a single new doctor, but provides for 16,000 new IRS agents, written by a committee whose chairman doesn't understand it, passed by Congress, that didn't read it, but exempted themselves from it, and signed by a president who smokes, with funding administered by a treasury chief who didn't pay his taxes, for which we will be taxed for four years before any benefits take effect, by a government which has bankrupted Social Security and Medicare, all to be overseen by a surgeon general who is obese and financed by a country that is broke.

So what the blank could possibly go wrong?

What are the chances that George is going to choose Obama as the winner of the debate? It's like declaring a winner before the polls close. Has he EVER chosen anyone but the Democratic candidate? Why even include him in commentary? We know his responses already.

Oh, and @ justjoke$88 -

Votes for Gary Johnson will count as much as votes for every other candidate who loses (including Romney or Obama). If we are judging a meaningful vote to be a bet on who wins the horse-race, well only votes for one candidate will have meaning.

In the vast majority of states - those not "swing states" - it's a foregone conclusion who will win. the state and its electors. Because of the electoral college, in states like New York and California, a vote for anyone but Obama - by your standards - is wasted.

I choose to think voting serves a different purpose than betting on the winner.

Actually, there are some other things readers need to know:

1. What are the terms of the (so-far) secret contract by which the debates are scripted?

2. Who exactly is sponsoring this infomercial for the Ds and Rs?

3. What comment to the participants have on decisions by YWCA and Philips Electronics to pull their sponsorship, finding that the Commission is not "non-partisan," but apparently "Bi-partisan"?

Knowing something about all this would also be essential for viewers to put things in context.

For those of you wishing for Gary Johnson, et al. Your vote wont count. The US voting system is meant to function as a two-party system. Whatever it's advantages and disadvantages, you should focus your energy on lobbying to dismantle the electoral collage winner-take-all system instead of wasting your vote.
