stan you need to look at the constitution and the 3 branches of govt. the gop controls the house and has enough seats in the senate to filibuster anything. this is the check and balance feature to make sure we dont have a dictator. worked when the dems were in the minority and it also works now. get used to be stymied for at least 2 years and scandals have an incredible way of popping up in a second term of a presidency. long the the constitution and long live america.hoorah!

Obvious the right wingers forget that they lost the election and that Obama rules. The tea party is dead. The repubs made a deal with those devils to gain seats in 2010 and now they lost seats in Senate, House and the Presidency because of their ridiculous and ignorant far right views. 4 more years baby. Get use to Obama being your mama and your daddy too.

GIMMEDAT | NOVEMBER 15, 2012, 5:02 posted: "the keyword is WORK….except people on welfare and food stamps won’t be WORKING! and they voted for obama. You are tone deaf and out of touch"

Where does the Right Wing come up with this notion that Americans don't want to work? I find when a conservative talks about "NOT WORKING" they mean welfare or food stamps, but ignore government programs like the G.I. Bill or student loans as help for everyone.

Back in 2008 a national survey by Cornell Research Institute polled Americans to ask if they had taken advantage of 21 different SOCIAL programs offered by the Federal Government. (Not things like roads, homeowner mortgage interest deduction, or defense spending.) The questions were about tangible benefits for specific American households.

Here's what the data revealed: nearly all Americans — 96%— have relied on the federal government to assist them at one time or another.

I suspect these real world experiences contribute to the belief that we CAN work together and help each other to make our nation better for everyone.

The President faces a GOP Congress with equal or greater legitimacy than himself.

House Democrats received more votes nationally than did House Republicans. Democrats also won the Senate. Democrats also took the presidency. Cheer up.

President Obama won every demographic except for white men - and even then he won the younger males in that group. Your bigotry is dumb.

57.5% of eligible voters turned out, and 50.6% of them voted for Obama. The President’s resounding 29.1% of the electorate consists of semi-legal Latinos, clueless hipsters, unwanted pregnancies and black voters demanding “revenge”. 70.9% of eligible voters favored someone else or sat on their own hands. Now we must determine by Constitutional means whether or not to bankrupt the nation in order to fulfill Obama’s campaign promises to his “majority”. The President faces a GOP Congress with equal or greater legitimacy than himself.
