If you think the problems we experience in the U.S. are purely results of either the Democratic or Republican policies, you are not reaching conclusions based on rationality, information, and truth. The most common causes of partisan ideology are, anger, fear, narcism, or lack of empathy.

For what it’s worth, here are my THOUGHTS on gun control. These thoughts are only a starting point, not the final resolution. Gun control laws alone will not solve the unique issues that the U.S. is experiencing, however it absolutely is an integral part of the solution. My comments ONLY address gun control!
1) All transfer of ownership of firearms will require a Federal background check. This includes purchases from licensed dealers, gun shows, and gifts, even within the family. A “first time” purchase, or gift, requires successful completion of a federally approved “Gun Safety Training course”.
2) All sales require a waiting period. Gifts among verified family members could be exempt from this waiting period.
3) All background check information would be stored in a database. The background check may include, criminal, medical, and financial information.
4) All guns classified as “Assault Weapons” would require more stringent rules.
a) Weapons that are currently owned and registered (legally), would be grandfathered into law.
b) All new transfers or purchases would require the recipient to qualify, and pay, for an “Authorized Collector’s License”. On a periodic basis, the “Authorized collector” would be required to show proof of present ownership of such weapons, or proof of sale to another “Licensed Authorized collector.”
We all have our own individual “interpretation” of the second amendment, which covers the entire spectrum of thoughts. We must remember that our individual thoughts are only “our own” and highly subjective, not objective.
The second amendment states, “ A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.”

The second amendment does not state, “ Every human of live birth shall have the absolute right to keep and bear arms, to include all past, present and future forms of arms. This right will never have limits, restrictions, regulations, or requirements what so ever.”

Given that the US has annual deficits exceeding ONE TRILLION dollars since Obama has been in office and will for the next 4, it make s more sense IMHO to train and arm the teachers. Since Israel armed their teachers, they haven’t the attacks that they once had.

Why does the media give the gun lobby an opportunity to promote its views without subjecting its spokesman to withering criticism? Why should we care what the gun lobby wants? Any plan they put forward will result in more guns and no solution to reducing gun lethality in terms of mass killing events or keeping guns out of the hands of the mentally ill.

Democrats are getting all stupid about this. Why should it matter as to how, when, where or how many people die when your agenda is after all to achieve population zero or better. As it is you Dems and the U.N. are slaughtering millions of unborn via pro abortion policies yearly. 3,500/day innocent preborn right here in the U.S. are shamelessly slaughtered via abortion.

The ‘Air Marshall” program, if I remember correctly began in the early 1960′s ? Well it has provided a deterrent for some, as “911″ has shown, we did not have nearly enough in the service to provide the necessary deterrent for what actually occurred.
