ABRAHAM LINCOLN1…to answer your 1:24…because they (GOP) have ‘sold their souls’ to the wealthiest 1-2% who contribute all their money…and who feel it is just ‘easier’ to pander to a ‘base’…that they think they can control. The ‘really dumbed down ‘values’ voting element. BUT WORST OF ALL….they do not ‘see’ the downside to this strategy. Dr A in a post at 9:34 makes a good point. But the one thing he evidently doesn’t realize? That a HUGE part of the GOP BASE is now comprised of people that ARE THAT DUMB! And the more intelligent voters in the middle…have changed sides because of that. I know myself. I refuse to vote alongside people that are THAT clueless.

I don't think I can take any more of these literally ridiculous posts from are Leftist Friends! Obama raised billions from the ELITE! Those in entertainment, and Media, etc.! I believe he out raised Republicans again, because of the Left’s ignorance of basic Micro & Macro Economic principles! Romney raised money from company's that have a vested interest in growth, & HIRING people! Who do you trust? Government Bureaucrats or true entrepreneurs that have made it in life? Oh yeah, those LOSERS believe in the Government Bureaucrats!

||Republicans should state their positions and stick to them if they want to win. You cannot flip flop like Governor Romney did and expect to win.

When Obama flips, the media says he's "evolving". That's the difference.

||They have over and over shown that they do not care about the 98% of Americans just the 2% .
That's nonsense. If true, Romney would have only gotten 2% of the vote.

"Once again, we see the claim that white males did not turn out for Romney. Is there hard evidence on this? Does someone have a study that provides a definitive answer to the question?"

YES! The Riomney campaign and the Republican Party.

"... Some are fiscal conservatives, some social and such but currently if any Republican doesn’t adhere to ALL forms of conservatism they get branded a hated liberal ..."

But that's just it. I don't think the "other stuff" is true Conservatism. Or maybe I just don't know what that is. Anyway.... I think there are many (liberals too) that want a smaller government and less taxes however they just don't buy into the social agenda of some of those on the right. I've written this before that I was a registered Republican (I always voted for who I thought would be best at the job though) and while I don't believe in a smaller government per se, I do believe in a much more efficient government. I also believe in paying the least taxes possible but realize that there things that need to be done and paid for. With that said, it was just all the racist rhetoric of the 2008 presidential campaign (and ensuing 4 years of it) that just completely turned me off to the Republican party. It was as if I could not shower enough. Being a minority, it matters little to them (how I perceive it anyway) that I'm educated, successful, and accountable, I will never be one of them. I think the Republican Party has more than just an image problem. They have a people relations problem and it isn't solved by throwing a Sarah Palin, Michael Steele, or Marc Rubio, up on stage and saying; "see?" I feel to my core that they just don't like people like me.
