As I said I hate to even mention President Bush (I don’t want to fall into the republican habit of blaming the President for everything). I was responding to RICK’s unfactual quote that the “President” is bankrupting this country.

I should have prefaced my republican noun by adding the conservative adjective ahead of it.

I’m just reacting to what I see, Rush Limbaugh’s slut statement and the “conservative” republican statements that insult women.

Off course all republicans are not against religion, the conservatives are for religion as long as it’s Evangelical Christian. I still think they didn’t support Mitt much because he was a Mormon.

All I can do is believe what I see. The conservative republicans are extremely right wing as some liberal democrats are extremely left wing, neither one is good for our country.

I also notice how the republicans talk about the poor, they are all lazy and are scamming society, all union workers are thugs, unemployed people love their condition, etc. etc. What else are I and the American people supposed to believe?

Don’t you think that’s a little extreme?

I don’t like to keep referring to the Bush administration who nearly did bankrupt this country but facts are facts.

This President inherited the worst economy and financial situation since the great depression. He’s stemmed the tide, even with a dysfunctional Congress.

What has he done that’s dictatorial?

I feel as free today as I have since I’ve existed.

It seems to me the republicans are the ones who want to make this country a closed minded society where women are second class citizens, where anyone who doesn’t look like us (white, male, protestant) or doesn’t share our religious or sexual beliefs is discriminated against.

Where the poor are considered drains on society. Where worker have no rights and our military men/women are just cannon fodder so we can act tough.

If this is a dictatorship, almost every country in the world would want this same kind of dictatorship.

He is the antithesis of a leader of the free world.

Instead, he is someone who would be…….a petty dictator.

The fiscal cliff is a cliff not because of the deficit; it’s a cliff because of those republican spending cuts that will put millions of people out of work. That will shrink the tax base, reduce sales taxes and cost more money to help those people unless we want them to starve, lose their homes and die.

The FED is pumping billions into this economy; they can’t keep doing that forever, that spending eventually will have to be done by the government unless we want another depression or a revolution in this country.

The deficit will shrink at first them sky rocket again.

The best course is to keep the tax cut extension for 98% of Americans including 97% of small businesses, raise the rates on the wealthy and lower the deficit gradually. .
