If the Clinton economy was so great and if Clinton’s economic policies so fair to everyone, as we heard throughout the presidential campaign, why is it a “fiscal cliff” for everyone (not just those earning over $250,000) to return to the Clinton tax rates? And didn't Obama and both parties sign off on the "fiscal cliff" terms (Budget Control Act of 2011) in August of 2011? Here’s how Obama praised the “fiscal cliff” legislation on August 2, 2011:
“This compromise guarantees more than $2 trillion in deficit reduction. It’s an important first step to ensuring that as a nation we live within our means. Yet it also allows us to keep making key investments in things like education and research that lead to new jobs, and assures that we’re not cutting too abruptly while the economy is still fragile.”

Ari Flecher, a senior republican strategist, was on CNN last night. He said the GOP was holding a conference to re-structure the party and be more inclusive, on gay marriage, women’s, rights, abortion, immigration, etc. He never mentioned unions and other middle class institutions.

Give me a break.

Do the republicans think that taking $2000 out of everyone’s paycheck because they think the 2% need a tax break so badly will get them middle class votes?

Take $2000 dollars out of my paycheck, destroy my collective bargaining rights, cut my Social Security and Medicare, and I don't give a damn if you are or are not for gay rights, I'm not voting for you.
