I'm going to apologize for losing my temper, oonogil. I just get so tired of hearing people try to diminish or dismiss the role of the mother in raising children. The fact that so many seem to ignore is that wages vs. bills has eroded to the point that it takes a 2 adult income to survive today. There are many reasons why women raising children alone or semi-alone. If you think women are incapable of raising boys correctly to adulthood, then you must also think that children whose parents are in the military or whose fathers are over the road truck drivers or whose fathers are away for the home for an extended time for any reason whatsoever are all future hoodlums or drug addicts. The real problem are the "mothers", I use that term loosely, who simply don't care about their children. They don't care if their children go to school. They don't care if their children get enough to eat. They don't care enough to make their children go to bed early enough to get enough sleep to get through a day at school. Sometimes they physically abuse their children and even when they find out, the states won't do anything about it because the state doesn't have enough income to pull those kids out of the house and because of the religious/political coalition that sincerely believes the state is out to remove children without cause. I believe these mothers are a minority, a growing minority, but a man in the house wouldn't sufficiently change life for the children because he's not likely to be any better than her. I don't know what the solution would be other than taking the children in those homes out but before that can be done there's going to have to be more funding at the state level and a change of heart and mind among those who have blocked past attempts to do anything that would be effective.

Why did 0Bama and Holder let them walk guns

Posted by: Ben Ghazi | January 13, 2013, 11:30 pm 11:30 pm

They didn't. Once again (as with Operation Wide Receiver), these were decisions made out of a regional operation run out of the Phoenix office by a group of holdovers from the Bush administration.

You don't just fire people on rumor and gossip. All of the facts must be investigated, documented as assessed. The Inspector General's report on Fast and Furious was published in September.

Reports circulated in early December (Breitbart, Washington Times, etc) that Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) official William McMahon – who was in charge of field operations during the scandal – has been fired. However, his attorney Mark Zaid said “we will be appealing the decision.”

Mark Chait, who was ATF assistant director for field operations along with Bill Newell, who was Phoenix ATF’s Special Agent in Charge, and Newell’s top deputy George Gillett have all also reportedly been fired.

These reports also say "more heads are to roll".

I wouldn't take any of this as confirmed information (due to the sources), but the investigation is complete and the repercussions appear about to hit.

jim wrote:"You haven’t disputed the facts, because you can’t – they’re true.
The same holdovers from the Bush administration who let guns walk into Mexico and lost track of them under Operation Wide Receiver let weapons walk into Mexico and lost them under Fast and Furious."
.
Why did 0Bama and Holder let them walk guns AGAIN, but this time with NO strings attached, and this time resulting in the deaths of federal agents. Why were they not FIRED immediately after finding out what was happening. There is a dog that did not bark here.... but you are doing all the yapping for them.

Geez, Eric Holder.... don't you have anything better to do than keep repeating the same propaganda over and over? 0Bama already covered your worthless butt with executive privilege to keep you from having to reveal all the damaging emails and documents. Why did you not immediately fire those who repeated this fiasco (according to you). They must have known too much to throw them under the bus.

I joined the NRA today! 5 year membership. I believe it's important now more than ever to invest in protecting our Bill of Rights. The Second Amendment helps keep the First Amendment #1 with a bullet.

LOL... that's what 0Bama and Holder and obviously "you" and "Jim" want everyone to believe. Tell us how 0Bama and Holder tracked the guns sent across the Mexican border. Which Mexican authorities were notified by 0Bama and Holder. Your attempt to equate the two programs is a pathetic attempt at disinformation.
