What harm comes to two people that truly love each other? Who are we to disrupt their lives? Is it because their garden is better than yours? Those in support of DOMA don’t have to participate. Nobody is asking you to marry someone you don’t like. Just leave people alone.

DOMA violates the Constitution’s clause on full faith and credit and it violates the 9th and 10th Amendments. It was never a valid law–repeal it.

Bambi, I have no problems with two people of the same gender committing to spend their lives together.
I just don’t see the need to redefine a word that’s been with us for thousands of years to fulfill some skewered pop culture agenda.

btw, the new definition doesn’t work for Bi-Sexuals.

The new generation tends not to discriminate against people based on sexual orientation. That discrimination is fading. It’s mostly the old and the repressed types who still do. Right “Noz”?

SILKPHOENIX AND BETH….there are actually very pragmatic, practical and basic economic reasons that DOMA keeps the LGBT community from being accountable and responsible members of our human race and our nation. That is what people like NOZ…refuse to acknowledge. All because of ‘in the past’ fantasy land emotion.
