The only thing that has a chance of passing on the gun issue is maybe stricter background checks, The NRA opposes this but it makes too much sense for these idiots in Congress to ignore.

The way to solve the gun problems in our country is for the state, counties, and municipalities to enact their own laws and regulations.

Also file law suits against the firearms manufacturers for the expense of the added police weapons, added security and other expenses needed due the products the gun industry produces.

Have you ever noticed how the news, only talk about death by guns but not how many people are saved by guns. As Americans we have a responsibility to fight for are god given rights, we the people not we the government. They are slowly taking freedom from us, such as the patriot act and obama care. We! need to stand up against this injustice, the constitution states that no law should be made governing the constitution, and that is what is happening with the gun laws and the patriot act.So it is time America to stand up a fight for are freedoms again, hundreds and thousands people did not die so we could just turn are freedom over to this government that is suppose be working for us.

I think its clear that local guns laws are like “Don’t Urinate in this End of the Pool” signs. They don’t stop the flow of guns from outside the local area. They do give police the grounds to arrest.

Durbin: “He pointed to the slaying overnight of a 15 year-old Chicago honor student who was killed at a park. He argued the problem is there are too many guns in this country. And he said Chicago has more guns than just about anywhere. But Durbin argued the guns in Chicago are coming from places like Mississippi, where the laws are looser. He also asked Wayne LaPierre about the fear of some gun rights activists that fewer guns would mean they would be unable to rise up against the government. LaPierre said that is an argument with historical basis.”

Let’s see. Those guns are coming there …..illegally. So, once again, the law abiding citizens are UNARMED do to Chicago’s tough gun laws, but the criminals are armed to the teeth. Maybe Dicky should place the blame where it belongs instead of trying to blame everyone else (typical Liberal). If LAWFUL citizens in Chicago were allowed guns, that shooter may have thought twice about firing on this crowd. And Dicky leaves out that it is more than likely gang related. And an assault rifle was NOT used.
